I like the dowds junction cam, if the road is covered there it's cold enough to stick and it looks covered. ( No, I am not going to ski there smartasses)

9" in Highland bowl was better than anything in the last 2 weeks.
I can't complain too much... although the snow sucked, the temp was perfect down in Denver for my first round on the links today.
81 on a 7,400 yd course with three birdies (and a freakin' double bogey on a par five). I'll take it.

the snow won't start in Eagle County til either late tonight or early tomorrow. It is only a 12 hour event for most spots and of course the flow is out of the SW again.
radar returns show a big dry slot just to the west of the moisture band. I'm afraid we are going to see some not too impressive totals unless the wind shifts. Fingers crossed still.
Still very early and when the cold front passes from the north, we should see a brief period of strong snow....just like the last few systems.

damn, should have gone up last night with my gf. forecast looking decent for this weekend? Thinking of staying up there.
Today is the $$$$ day. A warm up starting tomorrow, more snow possible for Thu-Sat but less and much warmer thus higher snowlines. Props to Rontele for calling this last week sometime.
edit to add that next week is a big high pressure in force...spring time.
If it snows most of today, then tomorrow could be fairly good as well.... at least that's what I'm telling myself.
