One of my 'hood buddies is from the cherry hill area, talks about "the boardwalk" (wildwood?) all the time. Never understood WTF a "boardwalk" is. Here, sand. then pavement. Dunes in between. Find it hard to imagine a new jersey accent on the beach either. Kinda like milk and orange juice. just doesn't belong together.Quote:

I'd have to agree with you even though living here most of my years, never been a jersey beach guy, I go to Delaware. That pic is of cabanas up in Watch Hill RI. Old friends family has had them since the 40's. Its a great place to sit and watch the sunset with a few thousand cocktails after the blue hairs disappear, which is almost every day in October. The Jersey shore is a funny place, like a kaleidoscope of society from Keansburg to Cape May you got it all.Quote:

Yeah, it was one of those ones that I could tell was gonna be good even before it got light enough to really see. I got some East facing curtains open by the kitchen so that I could watch it develop while I was making breakfast and then ran outside when it was at the peak for a quick pic. Gotta love sunrise!
