there's a 180 on the website
@forumskier - Just as a heads up, the 194 R110 is sold out for 2025, and the R110s are not planned to be run again for some time.
Pm jrf for 187s

Skied the am110 beta yesterday. What a fun ski, it’s definitely HL’s most “normal” ski I’ve skied yet. It carves well and has great pop out of turns/off terrain features. I understand this version is a bit heavier/damper than the production model coming in fall 2025. Im at roughly-7.5, mounted for pivot.
That version is pretty much the ZF110 lol.
Hahah Marshal called the FL110. Great ski for a mediocre category
Froneten makes small mountains more fun.
ZF110 is a fitting moneker. They are an absolute weapon. I am at -8.5 on the 180. The production version will be so good.
Ha, yep I got a pair of ZF110 as well, -8 on the 180. Wasn't going to post impressions as they aren't production, but fully agree on the weapon part, and seem like they are purpose built for modern FWT style skiing. Incredibly strong on edge, damp as fuck hitting unseen chop and moguls on a foggy day at speed, but still very responsive. The camber plus the full weight build just begs to jump off things and they love being in the air. I normally ski 185+, but the 180 has no stability issues and is nice and maneuverable.
Took me a minute to get the feel for them, as I am rarely on a cambered ski or one with a tail that finishes turns instead of drifts back fall line. Just need to push them a little and then they respond (and the harder you push, the more fun, and never get unsettled). I could see the production version being an even better generalist with a lower threshold to access the ski, but these are just such a cool mash up of opposites, damp yet poppy, super fast and precise once up to speed, but happy to run straight through chop too.
Someone needs to make a grid/decision tree with all the hl permutations!
ZF110 is AM110 beta moniker because it came out pretty stiff and will be softened/lightened by ten percent for production

want
Yep. I only have one day on the 180 AM/ZF110 mounted -8 with pivots. Chatted with Marshal after about 10 laps. They are stout and wanted to go fast as fuck. Conditions were interesting with flat light/hard to see chop, and areas of boot top dense untracked/setup snow. Skied steeps, bumps, untracked, windbuffed pool table, etc etc. Good thing about Big Sky as a test hill is that we can have every type of snow possible on the mountain at one time. Seems we have all come to relatively the same conclusion. Slightly softer and quite a bit more rocker and these things are gonna be fucking sick and extremely versatile. This beta version definitely gave the directional comp feeling which I understand is not the end goal with these.
Love it!

Hey Yall! just wanted to give a big thanks to everyone testing the prototype AM110’s. It’s so helpful to be at a place where I can start get actionable feedback from a diverse group of skiers in lots of different snow conditions and climates!!!! Everyone on these protos will have the choice to keep them or swap into the production version in the fall.
Final production samples of the AM110 with the updated rocker profile and flex pattern arrive this spring, and will send a tech email out as soon as the physical skis are in hand and validated. When that email goes out, folks in the cottonwoods are welcome to test and try the skis as well. in designing this shape I particularly, the question was how firm snow / soft snow the bias should be.
The protos biased toward wind buff ripper a little more than I was going for, and diverse testing has confirmed it. I will retain the camber pocket gemoetry, increase the tip/tail heights to increase surfiness, and revise the flex slightly to make the ride a bit more snappy Super super excited for the final iteration, and think it’s really going to check all the right boxes for tons of skiers as a supremely versatile ride with very high performance ceiling in just about all snow conditions.
This ski is on my short list, thanks for the update!

A few more days on the AM110 beta. These really have potential to be a quiver killer. As they are I am really starting to love them, and with a couple tweaks they will be insane.
Never mind. Posted an FR review and the fucking emojis got it. FFS.
Just a quick note that the R One Tens are an ideal melt—freeze ski.
Ice to mashed potatoes to rain slush this last week in Arai. Shit fuck snow made fun again.
I actually had an absolute blast arcing GS in that rain. Other people from the comp were staying in the hotel, drinking coffee. I was out getting soggy because my Dimes made it so much fun.

I did a Rainier lap on Saturday with the BC110s
It was pretty great. The top 1k feet from Muir down were wind sculpted sastrugi that were impossible to ski, but the rocker on the BC110s made getting through them less painful than anywhere else
Then it was 3.5k of breakable ice-crust -> corn -> mush that was all fun af to ski on the 110s
Just pre-ordered one of last pairs of next years FR purple nerp dimes. Think they'll be perfect for the PNW trees. After a half day finally on my R120STs in the warm slushy sun over the weekend, couldn't resist. That layup is just so damn smooth.
Fr110s are my favorite tree skis ever. So smooth and so fun
