If an owner is willing spend enough on steel, we engineers can cantilever almost anything. :)
Designed a house a while back with a 28 ft cantilever (roof and floor) using a full height steel truss hidden in the exterior wall. Designed the members around window and door openings so the architecture wasn't compromised. Pretty fun stuff.
