The Sight looks really nice. But why did they mate a Sram shifter with the Shimano Step?
I’ve had the complete E8000 system for almost a year. I’ve ridden the shit out of it and it’s worked flawlessly.
The new FAZUA motor looks nice, but no dealers in North America.
Every shop in town carries Shimano and they’re still clueless regarding the Step. But I have to believe they’ll get educated much quicker with a brand they already carry.
You guys with eMTBs, does your bike have walk mode? Definitely don’t see buying one without walk mode.

My dog needs a ton of exercise and the quickest way to give it to him, is to take him on an Ebike ride. When we get a lot of fresh snow and the trails are soft, I have to HAB some of the steeper pitches.

Enjoyed a long loose climb that had previously sucked. Still quite a bit of pushing.
Felt way more like a DH bike on the way down. In terms of heavy, planted, fast (just coasting), stable. Wants to plow through stuff, but still able to move it around.
Probably giving it another go soon. Could definitely see getting a couple if we can find long travel aggressive geometry in a size that fits the mrs.
Would be a giant chunk of cash though.

Rode a Levo today (150mm version), but swapped out the 29" wheels & 150mm fork with 27.5" wheels & 170mm fork & 2.8" Butchers. That bike impressed me. Fun all around. Instead of suffering the uphill for 70% of my ride and then enjoying the downhill, I enjoyed the whole ride. Kind of checks a lot of boxes. If I could put an Ohlins or Push coil on it and a Pushed Float 36 170 with coil kit, it would slay mountain lions.
This has been a really enlightening demo effort. It's definitely not a moped. And it's definitely not higher impact on the trail. I will never go even remotely as fast with an electric assist as I regularly do going downhill on a mountain bike. And whether or not I'm a menace to other trail users has 100% do do with my own decisions on whether to be an ass. Regulating the type of bike won't change that.
I challenge the no-Ebike crowd to spend a couple hours on an Ebike. My understanding is that right now, about 75% of cyclists are strongly anti-Ebike while less than 1% have actually ridden one.
Sounds like a nice swap. I’m thinking coils as well. Why not? Especially with the motor.
In other news, I didn’t have the heart to ask toast if the eEnduro series was included in his “dirt racing” thread. I think they’re combined with ews. Be cool to see what kind of tech they’re riding and how it develops. Some big guns joining that series with good support

Curiously, we also demo'd the Kenevo (specialized 180mm Ebike) and the Levo just seemed like a way better bike all around. The new design with longer travel and slacked out geo handles pretty close to my 160mm trail bike. Just heavier......... in a good wayQuote:

Another use is the ski hill(revelstoke mt resort) is opening for biking next year. You have to climb 1500ft from top of the gondi to the top of stoke chair where the , one possibly 2, trails start . 5000ft downhills. You can add on various trails below the resort to mix it up then climb 500ft back to the bottom of the gondi. Some trails have good amounts of climbing in the middle because the hill is so steep it necessitates traverses in the trails. 2laps with your dh or enduro bike if you’re lucky or 4 with an emtb. Decision is ez. They’re also renting a fleet of emtb’s. The options to link huge vert straight from town with these bikes has a lot of potential. Endless 4000-7000ft climb and descend links soon here in every direction. Add in the Gondi bump and it’s going to be something else. 160rear with 180 triple is going cover a lot o fun

I'm "under the weather" and feeling the age thing. E is where I think it's going to be at for me for a year or so. I ordered an e-plus ht that should be here about the time the leaves start to pop and I'll sell that for a fat-e at the end of the summer. Until then it's gonna be the pavement only e-folder I have because my other bikes will likely put too much strain on my faulty ticker if I try to ride up a hill.

The Rocky looks amazing. This review vid from today gave the meta best value and the sight vlt best overall and that new giant best downhill(not so sure on that though, it’s 140mm)
