Ridge pro tip for those struggling to get the power strap tight and then mushy flex.
Tighten the ankle buckle to desired and close. With the Velcro open half close the walk mechanism. Pull the power strap sorta tight and Velcro. Close the walk mechanism.
You can figure out you own combo of walk buckle position and power strap pull to get the closure you want.
Drastically improves the boot for me.
I'm selling a brand new in box pair of Ridge Pro 28.5. Really wish they could work for me, but they won't. $550, shipped in the Continental US. PM if interested.
the number of new used Ridge boots on the resale market is quite telling

Dynafit made the same mistake with the hoji. Great boot in concept. But the instep was so low it fit nobody and then it had a wide ass forefoot. Maybe hoji has hobbit feet

So a 27.5 radical pro fit my feet great out of the box- any idea how different the ridge pro would be?
do you mean to make sure the tongue goes under/inside the outer flaps of the cuff? or are you referring to some other trick in getting the most out of the boot for uphill or downhill?Quote:

Just thought this might be relevant for anybody looking at getting into these boots. Once this issue is fixed, I’ll give them some more time and post a write up in this thread.
I reached out to dynafit about leash placement and they sent on these pieces. No idea why the 50 cent parts were not included with the boots originally.

Actually I asked one of their “experts” through the online form and they suggested the boa cable. Yeah right. Then I reached out directly to dynafit. At least the parts were free.
I'm finally very very happy with these boots, and have put about 20 days on them at this point with maybe 12 being touring and the others being in the resort getting things dialed.
I added a small ramp under my heel to get to a more neutral stance and take some pressure off the top of my foot. I also ditched the stock liner and replaced them with a Tour Wrap DD (12mm). After baking and many relatively painful days with numb feet I'm happy to report that I am super stoked on the uphill and downhill performance of this boot.
I ended up just tying some thin paracord around the lower buckle for attaching leashes to, but the "official" solution looks nice enough (though probably too smal for my ATK leashes to attach to).

Regarding leashes I use one of those ss loops through the eye pictured above. I think they have come with dynafit and marker leashes. The leash then just snaps to the stainless steel loop. I would post a picture, but no option.

ey_allen -How's the touring range of motion with the tour wrap liner in there? I tried them with a 12mm tour tongue liner (necessary to fill excess space in heel and ankle) and the range of motion was drastically reduced making them unappealing. I would think it would be even worse with a wrap liner. Maybe I just needed to give them more time to break in?
I never skied the stock liner so I cant compare, but the tour wrap gets significantly better for touring once it breaks inn

I do find they are much better once broken in. It was painful, but 12mm was ultimately the right call to get the fit I wanted.
I'm in a tour wrap in these and it's a much better fit, tours fine but definitely less ROM than the stock liner. I also have the issue of removing space in front of my ankle / lower shin right in the "kink". I can crank the tongue way down, but that makes my sole hurt for the downhill. If I don't do that the fit is kind of sloppy on the way down and given the upright-ness and stiff-ness it's hard to have good control.On the uphill they work great, no pain points, transitions are smooth etc.

Too much foam, could barely buckle the boot

As to 12mm vs 9mm tour wrap: I could barely buckle as well once I started, but I still stand by the fit once baked and broken in.</p>

I've never wanted them to be more forward lean. I like a neutral stance anyway, and I generally ski these with Hoji's which prefer a centered stance anyway. </p>

I am using a size 28 9 mm Intuition Tour Tongue Liner in my 28 shells and I'm happy with the fit and performance.

I didn't ski the stock liner. I had some more instep pressure with the stock liner compared to a baked intuition.

I used the rice sock method that Intuition recommends, and went "aggressive" with ~10mins in the microwave and ~10mins in the liner. No footbeds to heat, but added them before putting my foot in. I aggressively clamped them down (especially the BOA), and stomped my heels for a nice pocket. I also had toe caps on. Mine was a 27 liner in 27 shell, and I was definitely worried about the upper boot being able to get tight enough. One thing to check is ensure everything is lined up correctly and the tongue is under the outer shell. That bit me a few times early on.
9mm might be a much more comfortable route btw, but I used what I had and am happy with the result. Might be worth chatting with skimo.co to see what they would suggest. The stock liner is much thinner than a 12mm Intuition.
