Fuck Duke!
Are we talking about women’s basketball in here? Iowa/LSU is great once again.
I’m watching.
Great fun!
Man Kate Clark is phenomenal, makes it look easy.

Yep, her passing may be as good as her shooting. 12 assists with 40 points is a crazy number.

Her 3 point range is Curry-esque.

Some great basketball tonight. Clark's shooting range is crazy, is she already the greatest shooter in women's bball history?
UConn USC game was fun too.
Lady Huskies over USC to advance to the final four where they will meet Iowa.. Could be a good Beuckers / Caitlin Clark match up. This also puts two schools with both men's and women's teams in the final four this year.. N.C. State and UCONN. Would be boss to see them both playing for titles at the same time! Just saying, could theoretically happen. With the win, the Lady Huskies join the men in a quest to win another nation championship. Would be the women's twelve and the men's sixth ! In fact, UCONN is the only school ever to have the men and the women win national championship titles in the same year. And they have done it twice ! In 2004 and 2014. This is 2024 if you believe in conspiracies or are superstitious. A lot of athletes are superstitious. Dog vs dog. I run with them both. Go Huskies. Go Wolfpack.
really a shame indiana st didn't get in. i think these dudes woulda won a game or two. just put up a hundo on the utes. avila can ball.
not really news because obviously but edey becomes the first since ralph sampson to go b2b on woodens. been wondering why he isn't plastered all over shitty credit card and insurance commercials. today i learned why: https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...due-us-nil-law

Anyone else watching Clark vs Bueckers, I mean Iowa vs UConn?
Hawkeyes have been ugly. Uconn defense is working.
Hawks only down 6 and they've played about the worst they can play, I guess I'll take it. Hopefully they reset in the locker room
Iowa dragged themselves back into it
Tempo has been high from the opening whistle
Great game! My wife is an Iowa alumni so we are all in on the Hawkeyes. Things are a little tense

alright i'm gonna say it. this shit is terrible. good for womens basketball and all but i can't look past the atrocious style and quality of ball. guess i'm a hater.
You're a hater, this is great
I don’t watch much basketball anymore but do the officials for women’s basketball not call traveling or is that the evolution of college ball in general?

Sloppy game but they won somehow.
Well, that last offensive foul on Ucon was pretty borderline. Worse contact than that was ignored all night. Hawks got lucky.
It wasn't the first time UConn was called for illegal screens. So they had fair warning. And look at the replays, it was clearly a foul. The controversy breaking the internet just seems to be they never call that at the end of the game. Fair. I'll take the V though as an Iowa fan, especially after watching a hundred replays from all the angles.

I hate that the game came down to a controversial call like everyone else. Both Iowa and UConn had opportunities to win the game clean. Both teams fumbled.
Caitlin could do a better job of knowing she's the goat, take the last shot instead of a risky assist. Also, when to not take the long tough shot, especially on a hard night. She'll have to play better Sunday. She usually doesn't stay off for very long and being 6.5 point dogs isn't a bad thing for the pressure on these girls.
Her being in the game drawing defensive pressure opens up the other girls to go to town. And eventually the decimated UConn team crumbled.
Hannah Stuelke is a home town girl, from Cedar Rapids, she lined the HS prep pages of the Gazette for years. She had 23 points last night. Well done!
Go Hawks.
Kind of funny how South Carolina never really gets the national attention they deserve year after year even with a undefeated season.
Dawn Staley entering true royalty status in college coaching in a relatively short amount of time.
The media outrage over the foul is because it’s east coast centric. Basketball media has always been east coast bias.
One commentator commented “well yeah, it was a foul, but it didn’t impede the play”.
Uh, whistle blew the play dead, how the fuck you know that?
Sure, everyone wanted to see UConn have a chance at a game winning shot, it would have been an awesome ending to an awesome game. But as a wise man once said, you can’t always get what you want.

Certain angles made it look like an obvious foul and others made it look questionable. Either way, sucks for the game to possibly turn on that, but UConn had plenty of opportunities, and even if no foul was called, they were looking at a tough shot with 3 seconds left.
I am a converted Iowa girls basketball fan, my wife’s family won me over after following Caitlin for the last 4 years. When I first saw the foul and the whistle I thought it was a horrible call and was appalled that the game was going to be decided like that. However, after watching the replays this morning that was the very definition of an illegal screen, moving her legs and hips and throwing an elbow. Should the refs call a foul at that point in the game? I dont know that answer, either calling or not calling helps determine the end of the game. Also, after watching, Iowa pretty much had that side of the court locked up and Marshall was still in pretty good position after going over the top of the screen, it would have been a very tough shot with a little over 3 seconds to go. Sucks that it ended like that but i dont think it was near the controversy that it is being made out to be.
My homer opinion is that it was the right call.

I heard a interview with Paige Buecher this morning and she was super classy. Basically sad she should have played better to win and one play shouldn't determine a game.
I have never watched a women's March madness game before last night, only tuned in because my 24 yo daughter was planning on watching it across the country. That was a great game and competitive till the end
UConn rolled the dice by setting an illegal screen on the last play. Came up snake eyes. Nobody can credibly argue with that call.
