The Sox are most definitely not teeing off tonight.
It takes a historic performance to slow down the Sox.
Going to a Rays game today so I figured I’d rock the home team gear.

A fan who taunted Justin Verlander and the Astros with the not very creative but common slam 'you suck' was surprised with a response from the Houston Astros pitcher (who has had a pretty good past few months): A scribbled message on a paper sign.
"No," it read. "You suck."

Ha
Well congrats to Jenny Cavnar. You rock! She was in the past forced into play by play for at least one game I saw (drew had to leave or something) and she was good. Knows what the fuck is up and at the risk of sounding un-woke, marry me!!!

the yanks are almost able to run out their best offense right now and sit at the top of mlb with runs scored even with stanton under the mendoza line. it’s been really fun watching them start to hit.
Sox coming back to earth a bit, it was to be expected but man that was fun. Nice outing by Porcello though, and a decent late rally, their heads are still in it. Kimbrel giving up the walkoff after a sharp stint by Kelly late hurt. A lot.
Yeah she's a pretty good announcer now, although it took a while for her to grow on me. Of course the trolls had their say, good on the Rox for punching back: https://sports.yahoo.com/rockies-fig...192913602.html
Har har har. Yawkey Way gets renamed, snicker, snort, Jersey Street. Haha. Joisey, home to millions of Yankee fans.
it does seem a little wack but that's the original name.
I've decided to believe that it's named for the Ortiz jersey that got built into Yankee stadium.
Isn't Jersey mostly all Mets?
Jersey Yanks, L.I. Mets. With exceptions.
Big day in the bean today!
Other than a Bullpen that is walking too many batters, the Braves are playing some really fine baseball with a very young club.
NINE IN A ROW!!!! THE YANKEES WIN, THE-E-E-E-E-E-E-E YANKEES, WIN!!!
Man, that ump had a wide strike zone
6th Grand Slam for the Sox in April. What a month!
So, how about dem Los Doyers? Seager done, needs Tommy J and Bellinger benched for not hustling. Free fallin'...
Looks like Dave Roberts reached his ceiling pretty quickly as a big league. Never liked how he managed pitchers, anyway.

Current Yanks Astro series proves the old adage, pitching beats hitting in time. Verlander pitching a gem. A master.
Yankees pitching outlasts the ‘stros. Last 3 innings, 8 strikeouts. Betances has second good outing in a row, then the bats come through. This is turning into a good rivalry.
And the Braves bring up another new pitcher who goes 6 in his debut and shuts down the Mets.

Albies/Acuna and now Soroko
Their Farm/scouting system is fucking amazing.
Mookie with 3 homers in 3 at bats this afternoon.
shit i forgot it's on
edit: dang it's over but Mookie's being interviewed. All-time team leader in 3-HR games with 4, youngest in MLB history with 4, leads the league in HR's, not too shabby
Sounds like prime time to low ball him with another contract offer, Lucchino style
He has 2 potential arb years left which will only go up from his 10.5 this year, and then he's a free agent at age 27. If I were him, I wouldn't consider an offer for less than 8/200 right now.
If the Sox wanted the Lucchino/Nomar deal, they should've done it two years ago. It's a hell of a lot less appealing when you're an MVP candidate in your arb-eligible years.
Ya I’m being sarcastic. The Sox blow at keeping their own players. Great at overpaying for other team’s players tho
Let's hope Mookie doesn't pull a Lester and say he wants to stay and hint that he'll give the Sox the bro deal. that didn't exactly work out.
Ortiz best and most recent but he is a DH and that’s supposed to count for something, right? Worth every penny either way, miss that guy.
But lately ya Crawford, Gonzalez, Rusney Castillo... jury is still out on Price, etc etc while we’ve lost the likes of Lester, Adrien Beltre, Andrew Miller. Guess they weren’t too wrong on Victor Martinez but they don’t really have a seminal catcher, I’d take him.
So far so good! He and Sale should be Aces High.
"Not At Any" Price.
Heheh, Price is a bad pitcher, it's true.
I also forgot about Pedroia, if that dwarf never plays another game he was still a bargain for the sox.
