That pass by fabregas was phenomenal no matter what team or what league. That said - they must have thought they had a chance for all of a few minutes when they scored then the door slammed shut right on their face.
Quite the dichotomy in skill of Real's back five to front six (& subs) today:
Quote:
Real Madrid: Casillas; Marcelo, Pepe, Ramos, Carvajal; Alonso, Kroos, Modric; Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale. Subs: Navas, Varane, Coentrao, James Rodriguez, Arbeloa, Di Maria, Isco.
Visca el Barca!!!!
Way fired up for today vs Elche, hoping the Lucho era kicks off with a brace from Messi and an assist or two from Rakitic.
Speaking of summer signings, I feel like Barca is already a few points up on Real due to Los Cabrones letting Di Maria go (not a done deal yet, but it's coming). He was their best player last year, amazing work rate up and down the wings while creating chances and space for everyone else, and they dumped him like chump so they could sign James, the shiniest World Cup trinket. Suckers.

Come on Chelsea!
Jermaine Jones to New England via the well known "blind draw." And we continue to confuse the rest of the world with our footballin' antics.
Yeah. That blind draw stuff is a joke. Glad he is in mls though!
Meh, another USMNT player bails out on Europe to play shitty club football in the MLS. Not really a recipe for the USMNT playing quality, ball control soccer, IMO.
I would like to give a shit about MLS, but I don't. I should support it but I don't. I should watch it but I don't. MLS is so weak compared to most EU lower divisions that I just can't care.
Donetsk stadium bombed. Teams forced into Russian leagues. I care about this much more than MLS.
Developing the MLS as the breeding grounds for US players is thought by some to be the best way to make US soccer better. The MLS being a salary capped league, I'm not sure that it will work but who knows. Developing young talent like Yedelin who go to the big leagues in Europe is probably the best we can hope for from the MLS near term.
On another note, what are you guys using to watch your games? I have comcast with Fox1 and NBC for EPL and Champions league, but its pretty thin and I would like to pick and choose what games I watch rather than just the game they broadcast as well as get more Spanish, Italian, Bundesliga games.
I watch on my laptop using this site http://www.vipbox.eu Haven't had cable for a few years, but still am able to watch any game I want.
live soccer hunter website is good too - no cable here, but I watch what I want - really digging Championship
Yes sorry. Name changed.
I don't see on either steamhunter or http://www.vipbox.eu/ schedules the Man City vs. Liverpool game this afternoon . Do they have EPL games typically?
Really looking to find a way to bail on Cable but still get all the games - guess if they don't have them on the free feeds I could just subscribe to NBC and Fox's internet streams.
It's listed on mine. Actually comes up as http://www.drakulastream.eu/football...ing-video.html
Also Real Madrid v Cordoba, Fenerbahce v Galatasaray etc...
Also try www.lshunter.net
Fuck this paying for TV bullshit.
VIP has every game. Man city v Liverpool is on the schedule, looking at it right now.
VIP also has mlb, nfl, NHL, tiddlywinks, and just about any other sport you can think of.
I'll try that one
I see it now. Here's another question ( I probably just need to post a tech talk thread or look for existing threads) but: are you guys piping any of these streams to your TV sets/flat screen displays and if so how? Do I need to buy a Rokhu or Apple TV or upgrade my TV to be internet ready?
I just watch on my computer. Old computer + old tv. Not sure if it'll work. Maybe if I run it through the blue ray thing. Hhmm...
Suck it united.

How about a couple central defenders? 3-5-2 doesn't seem to be working. Should have bought David Luis and/or never let Vidic go. I'm no ManU fan, nor am I a hater, but it's certainly interesting to watch the implosion.
Newcastle needs a couple attackers. Going to be a tough season if they don't score goals. Torres would suit me fine. I bet he's a good value when he's finally sold. Glad we got rid of Andy Carroll. Wish we'd kept Demba Ba.
[QUOTE=telemike;4298077 Torres would suit me fine. I bet he's a good value when he's finally sold.[/QUOTE]
Torres!? Really???? This guy???
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkSNlvC6lBA
He's such a disaster that it's not even funny. Strikers are all about confidence and he's been so horrendous for so long that I don't think he'll ever regain his. Even on a free transfer, he wouldn't be worth the wages you'd have to pay him
Just saying he might do better at a new club.
We also need a big lad. Shearer type. Carroll failed. Ba left.
newcastle need a new coach, pardew pissed away any credibility last year when he went nuts. they also need a new owner.
ManU will be driven into the toilet by the Glazer crooks. By force of personality - and aura - Fergie held it together well past the day.
I'll keep Pardew for a bit.
Hell of a ball from Milner. You suck, England!

Not impressed with England. Rooney captain? Meh. Can you start the captain on the bench?
internationals week Crap
Do not touch the ibra...

Why the fuck do we need 24 teams in Euro 16 - just so ireland & wales (hell, and england) get a sniff?
Ivan Rakitic is a stud! Fantastic signing by Barca.
eta: real dropping 2 in a row makes me happy
Edit #2: DiMaria is going to destroy the prem league. Dude is too good.
Not a huge serie a fan, but parma-ac milan was cracking stuff this weekend.

higuain was denied by some rather good goalkeeping on his PK.
Fuck you Hugh.
