I have Indy Pass looking at a loop from home of bmom to Burke to Jay to Bolton to Cannon with potential sides to Mount Sutton or Orford for 6-8 days in January. I know some bc here and there on that loop. Alternative for the week would be scoot north to the chic chocs. I know the chocs but only know Jay on that list and only climbing preseason. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Message any camper spots

Jay is pretty cool with camping at the resort; either Stateside lot or Jet Lot down lower, I've camped in the Jet Lot a handful of times and never had issues. good backcountry access either from the top of the pass on 242 going up the catamount trail, or from the lot on 242 in the flats a little bit west of Jay to get to the Little Jay basin; or if you're on resort you can go thru the gate on the backside of Northway off the summit to hit Big Jay proper.
Thanks guys, yeah I have been really spoiled with a bunch of spots around Jay for backcountry and I will definitely put in a day or three there. My truck camper rig is not the stealth Subaru Outback camper of yore. I will definitely post up if/when I go.
Stellar show last night at Allspeed in Portland. Jamie Walter shared a very interesting retrospective of his work. I did realize how far he had spread his wings with Powder and ski journal covers and galleries of his work. Look for his pictures in the third edition of this years ski journal. Josh Lawless killed it with some bike videos.
Skied Sunday River this afternoon, had fun, lots of laps. Rogue Angel kept things interesting as they have yet to groom it; Lollapalooza may be mostly flat but it's still a long run on slalom skis, particularly with a 4:40 lift ride and no line.

Suited up but changed into lighter wear after I got around the 60º temp and gusty wind.
Lots of leaves blowing across the trail, Slowpoke steep section had some fine spring bumps

$5 Sip O Sunshine is likely the best price all season

Looked ominous on my last lap before heading home.

All in all a fun first day 9/10
Sounds good. It’s been a few years and bc is always better with friends.
Even the boat launches are pretty up there.
Pics from November 5th down in Rhode Island, believe it started to really slow down the following weekend.

skiing is fun. :yourock:
SR was great this weekend. Rogue Angel alternated between slushy, icy, and somewhat soft bumps.
Seemingly every race program in new england was on lollapalooza.
