BD announced a voluntary recall today
This is the furthest thing from a viable solution they could've come up with.
They need a recall and replace program. The plastic clip just makes the beacon a bulkier paperweight..

over-estimates the distances in the 40-70 m range

recently received the "Pieps DSP Hardcase Carrying System"
something isn't quite right ....
the beacon does not sit snugly in the "case"
the "teeth" or "arms" (appendage of choice)
are not positioned to actually grasp or restrain the beacon body
to be clear, im not talking about the "arms" that are in position to
keep the beacon's sliding switch in place. im talking about the other pair
hopefully the photos will help explain .....

BD sent me a new beacon for $100 or something like that to replace an out of warranty Pieps DSP. I'm pretty happy with that. I wanted to buy a barryvox but had trouble finding one in stock.
