silver 3/8 oz kastmaster is what i used. caught 2 good fish in rapid succession once I tied it on, and then I snagged it after the second fish and had to call it. VERY slow retrieves and letting it sink was key. Think I was casting into about 20-30 foot deep water at least 50 feet from shore. I saw two dudes in a boat land a fish before they even made it out of the marina. might try from the kayak this weekend. If I see a guy with a mitchell 300 in my very obvious favorite spot, we're fighting.

Great ! I am up in Big Sky so I would have to get an Idaho license and drive down. My days off this summer are Tuesday and Thursday. I want to expand my river knowledge. Let me know anytime you have room in your boat.

Works for me if you want a day on the South Fork. Im there all next week and the following week.

Geez, i'd sure like to join you mags. I have a PT appt. at 1 pm that's kinda screwing that up. What's the timing on meetup, getting on water, and post angling shenanigans? Room on yer watercraft? Need a shuttler?

Harry, you need a place to crash for an overnight?

I'm bored managing this knee. Drove to Thayne yesterday just to look at adoptable pets...

Family is here through the 16 then some time off after that, Floated pops down the Hank before the snow and Flavs/Caddis were strong and crowds had died down.

Think we're meeting in Swan Valley around 11, prolly leaving Victor 1015ish. Guessing back at wildlife 5ish? There will be more of these for sure, we'll make it work!

I think the boat is full up for tomorrow. We will defintely be doing this again as the summer progresses. We need to get schwerty and snapt home and in the game. That being said I am tired of seeing all those other bastards hammering the salt for fishes, so I will be gone to chase the silver king from June 23rd until July 1st or so...

Good day on the water boys! Cant wait to do it again. Sorry the fishing was slow, I should have checked the flows, but the weather was awesome, the beer was cold and the company was awesome
