I pick US to win tomorrow 1-0 in regulation no extra periods.
sure it was, but a lot of worse stuff was not called during the game. You can call a game tight or call a game loose but you have to try to be consistent. And it's never a good thing for important games to come down to ref's calls. Hockey and football understand that. I think the ref was tired and wanted to go home to North Korea.
The only thing soft about that foul was where it occurred. An incredibly unnecessary foul, but the call was not unwarranted. You can't wrap your arms around the forward's waist in the box and expect not to be penalized, no matter how loose a game is being called. Stupid mistake by Germany, and they paid for it.
Progression of the game requires consistently good reffing. The fact that some calls don't get made doesn't justify allowing an egregious foul like that one to occur.
Wow. That was a quick start!
ETA: And again.
It's axis vs allies
USA beat down in progress! 3-0 14th min!
We're really sticking it to these Japanese ladies.
From 1/2 field! Hat trick in 14 min for Lloyd! Wow!
I don't really watch much soccer. This isn't normal right? haha
No argument there. Great game for the US. Well played by Japan, but the US were obviously on another level today. Crushed it.
The Olympics should be interesting. Germany and Japan will most definitely be looking for payback. US best be ready.
^^pretty much goalie's worst nightmare.
Well no one picked them to win the Workdcup and had a ton of doubters during the group of death... Your comments were really deep and insightful... I will be sure to post your comments on their team page as as a heads up...
And the men comment pure sarcasm... Floors me men have fallen short every time and all bars are packed and everyone is a socce fan... The US women were doubted the entire time and fans only show up when they win...
