We have not one but 3 different "classic hip hop" radio stations here that have popped up within the last year. Saw an article over the holidays in the WSJ that this is the fastest growing format in radio.Quote:

was listening to GZA "liquid swords" on this bus this am on the way to work...was thinking how 36 chambers & some of the solo projects are incredible...GZA, Meth, Ghostface, Raekwon
interesting fact I just found...To decide who appeared on each song, RZA forced the Wu-Tang rappers to battle with each other. This competition led to the track "Meth Vs. Chef", a battle between Method Man and Raekwon over the rights to rap over RZA's beat; this track was left off the Wu-Tang Clan's debut album but surfaced on Method Man's debut, Tical (1994).

Saw Rage and Wu Tang at Blossom Music Center sometime in the summer of 1997. Awesome show. Rage rocked really hard. Only about 2/3 of Wu Tang showed up though which I guess was pretty common for the tour, something about them getting way too fucked up at the previous show and missing their own damn bus to the next one. It was still awesome.
