The cognitive dissonance of workers who put their health & well-being on the line for pennies while their employers take a completely disproportionate amount of the profits must be too much to bear. So we invent the 'nobility' of the act - make this obsequious a sign of virtue. Putting your one go-around in this earthly world at risk or exchanging your health for the tiniest of crumbs is a terrible deal. All these 'free us from the tyranny of the guberment" types are missing the tug of the dog collars from their corporate masters. Suckers. Everyone of them.
Or they could just be broke.

There's a big difference between revamping and replacing the existing system with hopefully something better & acknowledging you are accepting a bad deal under the current system. My take is it's become commonplace to be complacent and accept the crappiest of deals - relinquish any leverage they have and call it 'a honest days work'.
I'd rather be broke than dead or broken.
I don't think I am here to fight e-fight a wage class war on the blue screen of stoke and drival or anywhere else

Have you seen Jackson Browne live? Highly recommended when this is all over if you haven't.
Now about the reliability, consistency and availability of those COVID-19 tests....
Pulmonary vein thrombosis? I had to look that one up. I don't know.
The day the first human planted the first seed school was out. When agriculture and permanent settlement replaced hunting and gathering men began to submit to other men. The species exchanged freedom for security and has never looked back.
A question for the scientist mags. What do you all know about COVID antibody testing? Specifically, National Jewish has developed an in house FDA approved antibody test for $95 that rolls out tomorrow. I can't find anyting about the sensitivity or specificity of their test and have seen vastly different results of other antibody tests that are not yet available in Denver. I'm very interested in this as I am caring for COVID patients 35 hour per week and though I wouldn't change my PPE practices if antibody +, I sure would sleep better with fewer concerns about my pending demise. My whole family was ill in the week leading up to Colorado's school closures and shelter in place order and we had multiple contacts with COVID + people. Our symptoms wern't too bad and it was back when we were only testing hopitalized patients for COVID so none of us were tested, but the more COVID + patients that I see with mild to moderate disease with symptoms that are very similar to what our symptoms were, the more optimistic I am that my family has some degree of protection.
Given the propensity of Covid 19 to kill black people it's no surprise that the white supremacy types are protesting the closures. A few more dead white people in exchange for a lot more dead black people must seem like a fair trade to them. The disease also culls the weak so it improves the master race.
A very good article:

Cultivation also made it easier to collect taxes.
Roche tested them all and thinks the whole space is a disaster. They are obviously the world's largest diagnostic company. However, they also are developing their own Ab assay.

Not sure if this has been discussed before, but interesting that Stockholm could reach herd immunity in weeks:
https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/22/no-l...-in-weeks.html
Will be interesting to see how they end once the dust settles compared to other countries with similar demographics and more strict measures. As long as the health system is not overwhelmed, I'm guessing the death rates will be close in the end with Sweden coming out of this with a much stronger economy.
So like ten people have already posted about Sweden's claim of Stockholm reaching herd immunity in a few weeks. The head Swedish epidemiologist made the claim and cited a study by the Swedish Health agency saying for every 1 person confirmed positive the true number of infected is 999. Then, within 24 hours, the study was pulled citing an unknown error. What the fuck? And we thought Trump was incompetent. I have scoured the Internets for more info on this but no luck. Does anyone speak Swedish?
We just got our ‘reopening’ direction from the Governor in Montana yesterday. It’s fucked.
Groups no larger than 10.
Bars/casinos/restaurants open...but only open until 11:30 pm. Limited to 6 people per table. Seems like a lot of thought went into that.
Schools can open. Youth sports can resume.
Spa/massage/salons can all reopen. But must maintain physical distancing measures...figure that one out.
Let the fire ignite here in Montana.
Here's some exposure math. Your situation might vary.
