I could be talked into joining an old man division in the bgully freeride, I usually volunteer as a ski chaser but I always end up wishing I was competing. Also, Charlie's ripping these days, he's come a long way from when I was chasing him around a few seasons ago. So cool to see how he has progressed.Quote:

Good sliding today, bad driving but at least "most" people were willing to drive slow. Those that weren't ended up in the ditch.
I'd be down for a Master's league. What age would it start? Forty or Fifty? I'm fifty next year.
anyway, just want to put it here to show there is interest. IFSA had one back in the day. I competed at age 42 at the Hakuba 2* debut out of mere principal and got a "Thanks to the older guys for taking it easy and staying safe." haha. there were like five or six of us over forty, so we bonded quite well and had a great time not having any expectations of actually beating the yougins.... just playing. Would be super cool to see a father/kid team.

Holy shit, that fucker almost never slides, in my 33 years I have never seen it go anywhere near that big. And I don't see any blast point so it may have been triggered accidently.</p>

Low level of skier compaction. Very subject to wind loading especially from the S & Sw. The area that pulled out gets the most traffic and that is usually patrol coming off the Alto route.</p>
Is that Big Sky? What is the giant building? During operating hours or night?

That is the top of the main access lift, Swiftcurrent, the big building is the Chair barn. Lift maint can work on grips and can store chairs in it. Before opening, my guess is a snowcat may have cut it loose or a patroller coming off route may have triggered it.</p>

Rowdy. Looks like there might be a shot hole up high above the crown (unless those are just rocks). We used to shoot that on a stick, but pretty low in the path just above the road cut. Never saw it go that big!</p>

I believe it is still on hold. Usually there is a Snowcat parked just west of the top shack, if it was there it probably took a beating, usually a snowmobile or 2 there also. Oops.</p>
