Sounds like snark from someone that doesn’t work in normal times.
Most of my laid off employees want to work. Whether it’s a sense of normalcy or life purpose, most people like working.

In these shit on times people forget what a great and strong nation we are. There are going to be many stories like this coming out that will and should energize our comeback, just like 911. From folks like Bobmc taking care of his ee's while the banks shit on him, to COUNTLESS OTHERS, who refused to stay at home for really good reasons. This country rocks. That is the base. We should each inspire others to step up and quit bitchin.

“In major parts of Sweden, around Stockholm, we have reached a plateau (in new cases) and we’re already seeing the effect of herd immunity and in a few weeks’ time we’ll see even more of the effects of that. And in the rest of the country, the situation is stable,” Dr. Anders Tegnell, chief epidemiologist at Sweden’s Public Health Agency, told CNBC on Tuesday.
She has no power over the strip or anything else for that matter,Las Vegas mayor is pretty much a figurehead/cheer leader with little authority thank god.
But she probably doesn't know that soldiers who participated in the atomic tests are [were] entitled to a monthly VA stipend of from $130 to $2900 for the rest of their lives.
My current opinion is that although I don't agree with the protesters, I do think that we need a little pushback to encourage the govt to start thinking about how and when to begin working toward reopening things. Especially in places that have met certain qualifications like infection and death rate slowdowns, and testing requirements. We'll see how that all goes in Eagle county as they are the first in our state to try.
so if you reopen businesses and attractions in a county or city, how do you keep asymptomatic people from a CV impacted city/county from going there and infecting people?
FKNA. To pile on to MTM's comment, Americans are actually exceptional in only a few ways, but believing we are exceptional can be pretty enabling.
You need to experience a real job. Vibes. Seriously. The fact that our system allows capital/government/all employers to take advantage of the people's personal non-monetary motivations to do productive work is a disgraceful problem. But it does not in any way indicate that those motivations aren't real. Quite the opposite.
I hope the polypropylene makers get some large bonuses.
They'll still require masks for employees, and social distancing measures. They aren't reopening bars and restaurants. Honestly, I don't exactly know what they'll be opening, besides some retail establishments and doctors/dentists offices for elective procedures.
I appreciate that response, and I can't say you're wrong. I've definitely viewed every job I've had as a means to an end/necessary evil and not much more.
Opinions are like assholes, but I believe that human beings are not meant to spend the majority of their waking hours beholden to an employer, it's unnatural and is not in any way necessary to have a sense of purpose or meaning in life. So perhaps I am saying you're wrong.
It's possible to acknowledge the realities of the system, and the necessity of operating within its bounds while also railing against the fundamental flaws of said system. I'm not at all surprised that's beyond SFB's ability to comprehend.
Hey you Marxists!
Glad to see you finally recognizing the class wars that have been endemically raging across all global sectors of humanity since time immemorial.
From the war lords of ancient China up through serfdom of the middle ages and continuing on through the trivialization of workers in the industrial era.
So despite it being a seemingly fundamental and traditional cog in the machinery of any society, let's trivialize the phenomenon and ignore the fears and forgoings of those who have tried to operate outside the system!
