Creaky! Damn boy, right up my alley.
I could almost forgive that Barbara Eden nightmare. One or the other of those posts was a lapse.
I see no inconsistencies, the 9 year old me liked Blood Sweat & Tears.
here's something splitting the difference

How so many 'wrong' notes can sound so nice:
dissonance has its own strange appeal, especially complicated kinds of dissonance

Yeah, well... I liked the Al Kooper BS&T a lot, David Clayton-Thomas - not so much. Barbara Eden, never.

Some really nice tunes on this page.
well you notice I put the Jeannie in the padded room not in here
I saw Kooper in NYC before I fled the dense sea of humanity. I like him ok, not moved enough to ever borrow or buy or copy anything of his. Best part of the night I saw him was the opener, Mike Henderson, who had Reese Wynans on piano with him. Wood & wire piano, not electric as in below. Lots of energy like in the video below from what looks like Jools Holland's show. Glenn Worf was on bass and whoever drummed might have been same as below too. Those guys obviously play together enough to enjoy it and sync well.
