Yes and no. The purple heel / green toe is not in use currently, but there is a pair of Billygoats with 2nd ski kit and another pair of green heels. Siamese twins - sharing the same toes? ;)</p>

Got about 3 days on my FR110s now at Alta and Whistler. So far very impressed. I have no complaints but echo what Marshal has said that they are not the greatest on firm cat tracks (it seems to me no fully rockered ski could be). This is a non issue for me. They were great for the traverses at Alta (not cat tracks). I also was impressed by the tune he put on them. Very nice. Find them to be great in the trees and on any type of soft or softish snow. They are easy to pivot and slash. Carve much better than I expected on firm snow and carve very nicely on soft.
Did you pay extra for the tune?
Very sad, can’t post pictures of my R One Dimes :(
But you can tell us about them.
For example— mine can deliver forest lines nearly as surfy as my Rens in soft snow depending on snow density.
There’s a lot of overlap mid-season when the snow is dry.
Fresh, or more than ankle deep, I’ll take my Rens. Less than that and the Dime becomes the Ren’s little bro with suspension.
I like talking about my dimes.
JFC. Had to edit numbers.
Keep in mind, readers, that I ski countryside Japan. I do have bell-to-bell fresh forest lines mid-season. It’s gonna take a hell of a ski to dethrone the Ren. But the Dime is a hell of an assistant with its ability outside of fresh.
Hence my two-ski quiver this season.
JP Genius.
gaijin, did you see the mint R ninety nine comp’s in HL outlet? This is the ski you need that you may not realize IMO.
I was able to borrow cascade Luke’s r110s for a few laps this past weekend. First time on a full reverse ski so some adjustment there but these delivered the combo of looseness I was looking for and my order is in. Now for the long wait until next season. Only 3 pairs left on the preorder.
I got out on my 186 R110’s this weekend. Mounted -7.75cm or so.
Awesome skis! Super super nimble, pivoty, and surfy. I can’t imagine how quick the FR110’s will be considering how easy it is to get the R’s sideways. Will have a comparison sometime in the next month.
Super damp layup, perfect for the heavy Tahoe snow and combination of ice crust, variable, chunk, etc. love it, maybe my favorite to date. Similar feel to ON3P’s and Praxis Heavy/carbon/veneer layup, maybe something of a combo of those two.
Quite stable fore-aft, didn’t get any rocking horse feeling. Accepted good tip pressure and a neutral stance, seemed to like somewhere inbetween the two the most. Definitely took me a bit of an adjustment period technique wise to get used to full rocker, but I get the “video game mode” description.
Carved surprisingly well on hardpack, particularly anything soft. Edge hold on ice obviously isn’t their strong suit, but predictable enough on icier patches. Wouldn’t be my first choice for really technical skiing with a lot of steeps with ice and other sketch snow. The lack of camber suspension is noticeable though, not unpleasant or harsh/chattery but you can feel them “bouncing” around a bit on groomers. They work really well in moguls if you like to sort of surf/bank around the moguls instead of scraping down the backsides, which is great for me as I generally ski that way to avoid harsh jarring impacts on my back.
Overall great first outing, seems like it will fit great in its intended slot of soft snow ski (for small storms and up to a few days after big dumps, and as a soft snow travel ski). I’m sure they will float well too, but haven’t gotten them in ensuring too deep yet.
Also - Definitely do not size down on these IMO. I’m about 5’10 215lbs, thought maybe I’d like to 180’s - but after skiing them very happy with the 186’s. Very fast in bumps and trees, I’d say they ski shorter in that regard than my 182 Praxis Quixotes did. Swing weight feels surprisingly light given how heavy these are with pivots
Awesome Muggy!! Stoked you’re digging the one eight *seven R-Dimes! Skied mine again this sunday in eight inches of new over a soft base and they just killed it all day.

The R110 pre order says fall? Whats that timeline look like??
Thanks for the interest!
To connect the dots on the preorder thing a bit more... the vast majority (over 90%) of HL skis are built to preorder. I order a few extra to accomodate folks shuffling their order a little if needed. But generally I am sold out for the season on most shapes by the time the skis arrive. My goal is to have all preorder skis shipped by Halloween.
LMK if there are follow up Q's!
Best,

Thanks for the info Marshall. Forum is broken...
Oh man. Well, it was quoting your post when I hit send. Sigh.
And apparently apostrophe’s are too advanced.
tried to quote a post and said i went over the character limit with 3 sentence so something is fucked up there. could you talk about the am vs r dimes a little more marshall? read the descriptions and specs but wondered if you had more info about them

For sure, more than happy to dig into the nuance, but curious if you had any specific questions? The biggest difference is, honestly, the camber pocket vs reverse camber. All the differences are optimizing for that specific element.
truthfully, I’d say they are both super fun, the difference comes down to reverse or camber. If you love more progressively mounted reverse camber skis, you will probably dig the r110. If you always wanted to try a reverse camber ski and feel like now is the time, the R110 is an awesome spot to get started. If you aren’t in love with reverse, or want the most versatile, poppy and all around option, then I’d go for the am110.
After a bit of experience with the Dimes and Rens and having grown up in traditional camber, I’d wager that if I still lived in Tahoe/Mammoth/Kirkwood, I’d probably want the AMs for a daily driver.
If I still owned a pass at Bridget Bowl, the Dimes would probably be my go-to.
Here in JP soft snow groomers and forests alike, the dimes stoke me out.
I think it comes down to the moment between turns. Are you okay with unweighting every turn? It’s only a fraction of a second and minimal muscle movement, but in my tight, technical trees I prefer not unweighting.
But if I were still shredding Kirkwood on the daily, I’d probably prefer a subtle camber.

I’ll throw my thoughts out even though I only have a day on the r dimes - I’d guess if you want to use the ski as a “Tahoe daily driver” including hardpack and firmer conditions, AM makes more sense and will be more versatile and enjoyable in firmer conditions. If it’s a quiver ski where its mainly for three-D and soft snow (storms, stash hunting after storms, chop, spring slush) then the r dime will give a looser and more surfy ride, at the expense of less inspired and low energy (but still manageable) hardpack performance.
For palisades as a soft snow only ski, I’m stoked about the R dimes and enjoyed it this weekend even with some shitty ice and bulletproof mixed in with the soft stuff. But if I didn’t have a Masterblaster (likely soon to be replaced with a RC Ninety Five) as my hardpack/lowtide daily driver I’d guess I’d be on the AM One Ten instead
gotcha. don't have any experience on reverse camber just not familiar with the characteristics. hoping i can try a pair in the future :)

Any type of soft snow I’m on the R One Ten. If it’s a firmer groomer days or chalky off piste I’m on something narrower.
Exactly why I own the ROneTen. The Dimes.
Dusty wind last night. Ankle to boot deep fresh forest lines in the morning. Absolutely ripping. Just as loose as my Rens.
Bluebird. Temps rising. Snow setting up. Finish the afternoon arcing crud and beat up groomers like a GS hog.
This ski is so versatile. Bought it to slot betweeen my MantraOneOhTwo and my Ren. It could ninety seven percent replace both those skis.
This is JP forest land. I’ve skied my Ren twice and my Dimes roughly twenty five days. It does everything incredibly well.

Grabbed the FRs this morning. Pow hunting all day.
MO is swapping my R110 for the AM110. He thinks it's the better move for me. After spending the day yesterday on my FR120, I agree. Sierra Cement turns quickly to firm moguls. The 120's were a handful at that point. So much fun in the heavier untracked, though.
I think the AM will be crazy versatile. Now I just need a ski in that slot this year. Sender Free 110? Wildcat 108? M-Free 108/112. Hmmmm.
Yeah, I was on mine as well for some dad skiing.
They're so calm that they feel so much more stable than a ski with this much reverse camber ought to.
It's the kind of ski where I can let them run and worry about whats in my way later.
But then, somehow, they're perfectly happy slippy-sliding through tight trees.
