Lets get back to the topic at hand.
I'm pretty well known as being sceptical of "institutional racism" in circumstances that aren't related to LE, but I'm on the record saying that as a rule LE and the justice system in general absolutely treat people of color, and poor people, far differently than middle and upper class white people. It is interesting to see how this perfect example of exercising one's 2nd amendment rights is viewed so negatively when it isn't white guys defending their white families from the Feds.
So some black dudes have gotten tired of being harassed and having people of their race targeted and shot by cops and start shooting back... Sure, a manhunt for the murderous cops would have seem more appropriate, but that's kind of the point. Cops all over the country have decided to murder random people because of the color of their skin. Now people with that skin color have decided to randomly murder people carrying badges and guns. Not all cops are bad, not all black people are bad, but apparently we have a war on our hands and there's going to be more collateral damage in the form of dead good cops and dead public school employees before it's over. It's insane, but not as insane as the cops thinking this wouldn't ever happen.

For cops, a matter of fact - a few hundred. Wouldn't dare get drunk with 95% of them. They're loose canons, looking for somewhere to go off. Our police force has about 300 officers. I have had contact w/ a handful, I'd say 30, and I'm friends w/ a few. I've encountered exactly one officer that fits your description...
The other thing that needs to be taken into account when discussing the "system" is how policing is carried out. In bigger cities officers "walk the beat" and in places like NYC they have the freedom to randomly fuck w/ people. It seems they tend to fuck w/ minorities more in places like that. In smaller communities, officers respond to 911 calls, there's no racial bias here, they just go where the emergency is... I suggest giving the men in blue the benefit of the doubt. It's a shitty, shitty job.
As I said earlier, none of these cops should be given leeway if they have violated someone's rights, the Mini shooting was waaaaaay wrong from what I've seen. The Baton rouge shooting looks like terrible tactics but when confronting a known felon who is reported to be armed (and turns out to be armed) officers are going to be real jumpy. That's why I say tactics, they should have stayed back and kept a safe distance til they could get the guy to comply, going hands on was going to end up badly for someone and in the end I suspect the officers will end up in jail...
Edit to add- just so we're all clear, we have a bigger issue w/ white crime in american than black crime. Whites commit waaaaaaay more crime, the stats bear in out.

Surely, I managed to find the one example. I'm a fucked up guy, living in a fucked up state, who managed to stumble upon that one fucked up set of circumstances that just happens to anecdotally corroborate about 10 million pages of documented research on the subject. Whatever dude. Keep on believing it's just a few bad apples. As for me, I don't have a problem with people returning fire, and this is not an issue about specifics. Cops want to randomly kill brothers? Don't be surprised when brothers start randomly shooting cops. Maybe that will finally motivate "the vast majority" of the police force to exercise some internal control over these "few bad apples" and this shit will stop happening.
