Honestly, I have no idea what the mentality is about how to get into such hallowed ground as the gear swap... and I'm with you.

Gotta give before you take to have change for a nickle
Lifelong skier, grew up skiing and racing in NJ with annual trips to VT. Moved West and raised a family in the Bay Area and now have a house in Truckee and ski Lake Tahoe. Managed to hook two boys on the outdoor life, the oldest one is now a patroller and ski guide at CB.
New member here. Grew up skiing Tahoe, now living in SoCal. Try to get 30-40 days a year, but having a stable job is a real drag on that. Mostly do Mammoth or out of state trips. Also into surfing, and hopefully MTB soon...
Whattup! I've been occasionally lurking on TGR, and definitely obsessed about gear forums and gear trade.
Skiing in the PNW, and always looking for friends to ski with! If anyone is a Baker local and would mind showing me around, I'd love it! I've adventured on my own, and tried to find some fun, and haven't had to hike out yet!
Hey All,
relatively new. Spent years ski bumming in MT, OR, CO and UT, everything from loading lifts to washing dishes. I switched to snowboarding a few years ago and loved that too. I sadly don't ski and snowboard much anymore. I am not wealthy so I can't raise a family in a place where there is good skiing. Thank the universe for mountain biking though, that is great bang for your buck and there is a lot of that in my life. Cheers
Ohioan here! Grew up skiing at mad river in Ohio. It aint much but its an honest little hill. I have been fortunate enough to make it out west for the past couple years to hit vail and park city. Look forward to hanging around!
Just looking to use the Gear/Trade forums.
How much for the little girl?

Been lurking for a few years finally getting around to posting. Looking forward to some midweek days at alpental this season, and some night laps at West. I also get back to the old stomping grounds on eastside of the state a few times a year. Looking for mags to carpool with and looking to use the gear swap.
Dude, I don't care.
Hello all, lurker here getting around to posting. Located on the East Coast, skiing mostly So VT mountains. Hiking and disc golf in the off season.

Anyone ski near Chicago? Looking for some homies to ride with
Hi
MNKM ghgyhukkm
I'm not a robot. I swear.
I did not grow up skiing, hah. I just started a few years ago. Living in the deep south makes it hard to ski a lot but I try and go ~10 days a year. Wish I lived closer to a skiiable place but life lead me here so here I am.
Working on getting that post count up, cause apparently that's a thing.
If U didn't ski as a kid, and live far from ski resorts, why even bother with the sport?
No, really.
It's expensive, time consuming, and can lead to injuries and worse.
I didn't grow up skiing either. But ended up a few hours from Tahoe, and working a job that had an annual ski trip...which led me down this path...

Figured I should say hi since I was actually able to make a post today. I’ve been lurking in various forms starting in 2009, but basically been a daily resource drain on the site since 2016. Tried a few years back to leave the hidey hole and reply to a gaper of the day post, failed miserably, and went back to hardcore lurking.
Currently based out of the PNW, but was a SLC nerd for a long time and miss the wasatch dearly.
I have very few cares left to give
Hi from the East Coast!
you’d be surprised how few people care
