R110 seems like it'd take a lot of use away from both the Katana and MFree. Agreed that FR110 seems the most different from what you already have.
Yeah FR110 gets you a fun Pow ski that works well inbounds / variable. Seems like that's missing from the quiver.
R110 works if you just want to dip your toe into Reverse.
I spent 3 days skiing low tide, mostly shitty old snow on my R one tens and honestly short of a few steep icy turns I didn't miss anything in not having my cambered skis.
Someone else mentioned it a few pages back, but what I did notice after a while is how every single thing is transferred into my boots/legs when skiing not-powder on the dimes.
R110: a better Hoji
SE116: a better EHP
AM110: might be a better mfree108/112/sender free 110. TBD
Rdimes was the winner, March delivery though
Some get strong, some get strange, sooner or later it all gets real…
What a fun day ripping windbuff on the R110s. I took them in to get all my core shots fixed. That is all I asked for. Shop guys are my homies though so they stoneground and redid all the edges too. Fuck!! Haha. Marshall’s tune was so good took me a bit to get used to to the 90 base bevel. You guys would be proud though I had the gummy and the diamond file in my pocket and did some slope side work. Was back and ripping pretty quick. Ordered the 1.5 base beast bevel. Gonna try and learn how to do the butter tune.
All this to say Marshall’s tunes were fucking sick this year. Thanks man!! Inspiring me to learn to do that shit myself.
Walk on.

Anyone have a r110 that I can take an alpental lap on with 320mm boots? Or Whistler the week of 2/17?
In a fit of alcohol induced weakness, I ordered R110s last night. Game On!! I will probably completely forget they are coming until they show. Now I needs some Pivots. Gold for these, also???
I swear some people should have a breathalyzer on their credit cards!
(myself included)
There are some gold pivots in gear swap. Brakes narrow

Carl, can't quote your statement but if you want to try 186 fr110 instead of r110 happy to loan mine for a lap. Mounted at recommended for 315mm but binding will open a bit. For whoever else was doing lesson dropoffs and dad laps on fr110s on Saturday at Alpental, I was the guy who jerkily skied away... trying to get out of line of sight of the child so the afternoon lesson went well.</p>
If you’re willing to shell out the Super Edition Teal Pivot Fifteen or if you can find some orange FKS bindings are the way to go IMOQuote:

Just had mine on a trip with hotels and everyone took pause either on a chair, on slope, or in the drying room in the basement. "WTF are those?" "Tell me you don't have change for nickel without saying you don't have change for a nickel." lol
You're already invested... find a rad binding. New or old. Lime Green would also do justice, imo. Opposites and all that.
"I don't care what color they are." /boooorrrrrring. It's not like cool paint costs more.

I was thinking blue steel Pivot 2s for these.
Saturday was a perfect day for dad laps on FR110's at Alpental. I've been admiring your skis at drop offs but you always turned into a ninja before I could comment. Hope your kid is having a good time!
I’ve got about twenty days on my R one tens now with the factory grind and tune. So one/two. I’ve filed the tip and tail edges and deburred completely with light diamond stone on the sidecut edges. Really love the way they ski.
I was curious about the two/two edge bevel so I reset the base edge to two and really polished the edges with a fine diamond stone and touched up the tip and tail edge shaping. Wow! Another level of pivoty magic, so smooth and loose.
If you’re willing to pay for the butter tune do it. Otherwise diy. You’ll not regret it.
^Thanks for sharing. While I’m super happy with mine they don’t quite slither like I remember on my Corvus. With my quiver so dialed I can afford to make these a little more use/day specific..
Luke, have you taken a gummy down the entire edge? Maybe do that before changing the bevel as they are unreal sharp out of the package, race ski sharp. I did to mine the first day out and have adjusted some more, now they pivot and slither so well yet hold an edge also when mobbing firmer snow.

Good call. I did detune overall but perhaps best to take a few more swipes prior to bevel change.
I’m surprised at how well a square edge grips firmish snow. The extra degree on the base edge just lets you roll your ankles over more before they really hook up. I can see why Marshall does it on his skis.
SF-- The Joker is a rad combo. Which means you have two Jokers. Who's the fraternal twin?
