Why are they so many poets that are full blown ragers? Most choose to drink instead of bike though, ha. What a clown.

good pt about the TBI guys.
I've been struck by a car once from behind- It was an old couple and I don't even think they saw me bc they had a huge car that they can barely see over the dashboard of. the one driving had a big bouffant hairdoo....
anyway, those hits are hard. as well as the several super hard trail crashes we all have taken over the yrs. beee careful with yer heads.
maybe that's why damien sanders was so wacky
If you ride around everyday in a city like that, getting honked at and yelled at constantly, and have had some big crashes, I wouldn’t be surprised about being fucked up.
It’s not easy. I know I’m different now than before many concussions but knowing I’m different isn’t the same as being able to control the difference.
Brains...fragile pieces of shit really. We’re only evolved enough to make offspring...there’s really no reason to evolve a solution to long term cte.
Uh oh ...Mr Cranky Spandex may be out of a job.

If they think the bike lane parkers give a shit about being publicly shamed they are mistaken. If the city starts writing citations it might do some good.
Meanwhile second cyclist killed in the Tahoe area in the last 2 weeks. This one apparently a hit and run.

Moving on to other cycling douchetude...
As buddy and I are enjoying a post ride beverage at our local trailhead, a group of seven riders emerge from the trail. Four men and three women.
We never saw them before
All of the guys were packing semi-autos on their hips.
While riding their bikes.
This is Central Oregon. In high touron season. We crossed paths with prolly ten other groups in a two hour ride
Now, theres a family of mtn cats living in the area, but they can feast In an elk calving area a few miles away. And if a cat wanted to attack you would not likely see it in time to draw and fire from a moving bike on windy Single track
What the fuck
Our hero can’t help himself: bikes past a car parked in the bike lane, keeps on going for a block then pulls a U to go yell at the driver:

Pretty sure that U turn he pulled across a double yellow in a business district is a bigger infraction that unloading in the bike zone.
He's so into it that he doesn't even realize the cop is jerking his chain asking all kinds of questions about the perpetrator as though he and half the force aren't rolling their eyes and laughing back at the station. Looks like he's getting funky when that music starts blaring also:) Camera is rocking.
I wonder if he would roll up to some Hell's Angels and pull that crap.
Chick on a road bike on Golden Gate Canyon Rd last weekend...there are no bike lanes, no shoulder to ride, mainly ditch right off the white line. She's stopped about a foot and a half in the driving lane, around a blind curve, picking her crotch and drinking...and gives me the finger when I use the horn.
There was a driveway less than a hundred yards up the road where should could stop out of the traffic lane. She passed plenty of pull offs and driveways and needed to stop on the pavement.
SMACK!! Upside the head

Unless I blatantly endangered that freak, I'd politely put up with that shit until he got threatening. Then it's nighty night time. Fuck him.

On a brighter note they caught the asshole who ran down a cyclist in South Lake Tahoe.
Wow, driving on the bike path to Boulder? What a dummy!

Happens a lot; my town has bike lanes on virtually every street and I see cars in the bike lanes at least once a month. Every time I've been able to get a good look at the driver as I pass they've invariably been senior citizens (like me). One poor lady used the bike lane almost daily, and once I observed her stopped behind a double trailered gravel truck parked for the night up against the curb but not blocking the bike lane, honking her horn to get the truck out of the "through fare where people are driving". There but for the luck of the genetic lottery go you and I.
^^
I almost got pasted by a lady tonight. I told her to “pay attention”.
She says” I don’t have a stop sign”.
That’s because she was driving down a one way, the wrong way.
^^^classic. Then when you figure it out, it’s too late to explain it to her, or she’s outta there anyway.
