Yeah if you’re on the lift, you know what’s going on and evacuation is easily done but if you’re in gondola, you have no idea what is going on and evacuation could take hours....

49%N getting the short end of the snowstick again
^^ HaHa... I see Sunnyside is on 'unscheduled maintenance' hold. Did you get stuck on it?
No, but the whole mountain went down with a power outage just after their 12:45 snow report update. 8000 Northern Lights customers down--so maybe it's not so much Schweitzer to Silver as Northern Lights to Avista. At any rate, village and all lifts dark around 1. We missed loading the Great Escape by less than a minute.
Happyfun Supertime at 49N today!
drifts 24"+ in the usual spots....
shredded schralp, shizzle and rime by noon
.
Was in line as well when they went down. Skied ike absolute horseshit today. Wind blown. Heavy. Wet. Snow.
And that’s what one of the guys from Texas I rode the lift with said so I’m letting “Y’all” know.
Texans will love today.
Silver is very mediocre today.....
Schweitzer was a bummer today, 10-12" yesterday of heavy, then rain on top created a nice 1/2" breakable crust that pushed you into the mashed taters. Some of the lower elevations skied ok, like spring conditions.
long snowboards excel in those contritions
150somethings don't stay on top
Damn Silver was good yesterday. Had the gas pedal smashed all day, Legs are feeling it today. Dumped all day. More snow in the forecast so this weekend should be great.
Ha, that’s funny. Yeah seems to ward off the PNW powder techs.

I also think Silver intentionally has the worst conditions reporting in the world, this is my first season back in the inland NW in 13 years, trying to figure the puzzle out.
