Speaking of KOTO and telluride, our very own Pegleg is in the finals of the band competition that should be starting at 930 this morning. I believe it will be streamed.
I'll be listening for his dobro:

Congrats! Winning that competition is quite the honor in the bluegrass world.

Taj Mahal.
Might want to see him soon.
I saw the Beatles Saturday night!
Well, Jeff Lynne's ELO, so same thing. GF got tics. Wasn't that excited, but it was actually really good.
Dhani Harrison opened. I thought he was pretty good.
Got Slightly Stoopid tix for Father's day. F yeah
Ghostface Killah coming to Ogden this Thursday, should be pretty good.
Yes, it's been sort of a combo criticism/compliment for years. Lennon himself called ELO "The son on the Beatles". My 21 YO son, who's a huge Beatles fan had never heard of ELO. I played some for him and his first reaction was, "That sounds like a Beatles song." It's not every song and ELO definitely incorporated some elements that the Beatles never did, but ya, there's a lot of Beatles in ELO's music.
I feel like Wilco is the closest modern band to the Beatles sound. Not in any imitative way, but in an influenced way.

Mandolin Orange tix go on sale soon for 11/15 @ Brooklyn Steel. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
