Was just about to bring this to the table; one more episode to go in season 2 and I have to say they really bumped it up a notch over season one (not bad, but not as good as season 2). Occasionally they pull an orangutang out of a hat to wiggle out of some tight shit, but all in all very fresh takes on the time travel thing. Should be fun in the final episode confrontation with 0001Quote:

That's pretty much what it's been from the beginning but the zombies of course were more center stage in the beginning. Just as with the comics, it has always been more about the characters and their drama. The zombies just provided the setting. Show diverged from the comics a bit, but man have they brought it all back together in the last couple seasons. Negan is far worse of a villain than the zombies have EVER been. Dude is straight evil. I remember reading the fan mail responses from Robert Kirkman back when I read the comics and they were talking about how the whole thing is really about the complete evolution of society if something catastrophic were to happen. Zombies were just the particular vehicle they chose to make it happen.Quote:

the dialogue seems lame and it translates to lazy writing, for me. American Horror Story, for example, keeps me riveted. I don't want to miss a little nuance that might turn up later in the story. Sorry, but walking dead doesn't do it for me, at all. it has potential, but it's never realized.
WD IMO jumped the shark with neegan. absolutely sucked once he came on.
Godless, Mindhunter and Mudbound were all fantastic.
Another mention for Broadchurch. Great acting

Liking Altered Carbon a lot but I can't for the life of me get used to Joel Kinnaman's beefy frame. I keep seeing the scrawny version of him from The Killing and thinking they glued his head on a terminator's body. Dude put on 75 lbs of muscle or starved himself hard during The Killing.
I really enjoyed Black Spot (Zone Blanche). French/Belgian semi-creepy semi-witchy show. Great dialogue which is, for once, really well subtitled.
