That’s quite a compilation.

Dead and co announced upcoming (last) tour dates and cities. Last 2 nights are in San Francisco. Giants stadium/oracle park?
Will give them a spin for sure - can’t get enough of this time period especially these runs on both coasts - makes sense as I literally wore out my sisters dead set album when it came out - that was my true launchpad.
Jerry absolutely just VOA*

I imagine this may already have been posted here. I've seen it before, but came across it again tonight and gave it a full listen. A fun slice, with two excellent tunes - it's pretty special all the way around.

Here's a show from a few months before their debut album was recorded for Warner Brothers.

I just love the lo-fi thrash punk sound of Cream Puff War from this era.
I completely understand and respect your stance. But, I have to say that band has sparked excitement in me. Seeing shows with old touring friends has made DeadCo a part of my life. Before this band for me it was a one off or maybe a two night Ratdog run here and there with one or two old friends since Garcia died. This group has brought my old guard crew back together both for shows and in btwn.
I give em a few bucks for 3-4 shows this summer.
I have friends with similar experiences: seeing old friends around a dead and co show. I haven’t made the commitment to it myself and my closest friends of old are scattered and unlikely to go to huge lengths to see the show. I saw the other ones long ago at the Ventura fairgrounds, which was super fun, especially cuz of friends, Hornsby, Hot Tuna, sunset on the ocean, headfull of lsd, and less cuz of the other ones. For me, Achilles wheel is as close as I can regularly get, who are really fun! Lesh’s son frequently plays in my area and supposedly Bobby owns some property nearby, so always hoping for a one-off.
In 1984 I walked up to the box office at SPAC and purchased a lawn ticket for $9, two hours before showtime. I got totally spun that night and danced my ass off in the pouring rain. What a great night.
Busted, down on Bourbon Street.
