Looks like you have the heel plate on backwards there Jerry. If the tail of the ski is to the right in the picture, you definitely fucked it up. Sth2 loads into heel track from midsole sliding rearward until worm screw engages. Then turn counterclockwise to crank it back. If the photo is oriented the way I think it is, you need to turn the heel plate around.

You're right, not backwards, wrong end. That sucks. Lesson learned, apply beer beforehand. Thanks for saving my sanity

Close call. That would be a bad mistake.

Edit. Now that I think about it, you could have just turned the heel plate around if it was backwards and been just fine if you used a template. Glad you figured it out. Post pics of finished product.

Yup that heel plate has symmetrical holes so could have just turned it 180 if I did screw that up. Test mount complete, will post pics on Lhasas when done. And for those wondering if Maestrales fit the Wardens, yes, toe piece is a few turns from maxed out for proper height on AFD. Basically new soles too.

Sorry for the delayed response. Used it a couple of times so far on screws. Haven't used inserts but if the common advice is JB Weld with fiber then I would do the same thing. Cut the fiber really small, you want JB with a bit of fiber in it, not fiber with a bit of JB on it.

Just mounted my first sit ski ever. That was fun. Literally 1/2 the work of mounting a normal pair.

I may have fucked it up totally. Like... is +1 or -3 mount point for a sit ski?

Who knows. My buddy was stoked on his first pow ski that he bought a single of for $10 at a thrift store. (Some 115ish Dynastar thing with lots of metal and minimal rocker).

my first two mounts. Lil groms have been shedding some serious NC pow pow. Would post pics but was so blower couldn't even tell a 2 and 4 yr old are skiing in the pic.

Anyone got a lead on marker Jr binding template (the recent 4.5 model). Not so much for whole alignment since I'm so rad I can figure that out... Also I'm trying to reuse holes.

So checking bsl length against template/adjustment range would be handy.

I always drill with a 4.1mm bit. That will fix your probs. I've spun screws with a 3.6, but never with a 4.1. Also never ripped out a binding on a 4.1, can't say the same for the 3.6.

Also, I use flexible marine epoxy.

Quick question: What size drill bit for Rottefella Freerides on Movement Goliaths? Movement says 3.5, Rotte says 4.1. Opinions?

only binding's i hated mounting this year 3x was the Salomon Guardians. got them quite wrong first wack on the Star 7's mounted them +2. whoops

I'd go with 3.5, but tapped. The Rotte screws are fat, but that's how I've done it numerous times. They're tight.

Self service... Use the m-series posted on slidewright template for marker junior bindings.
