First, I'm glad you're OK.

Second, consider taking a Basic Rider Course from your local MSF if you haven't already. At the very least, I'd do some threshhold breaking practice in a clean, dry parking lot after hours.

Got myself a dirt bike after a long-ass layoff of not having one.

'05 Honda CR 250 with too much fancy stuff to list. I need some barkbusters for her big time. For a 2smoke she lugs around pretty good. Too generous on the throttle and it will stand up, throw you and ride away alone.

Nice cr man. The 2 smokers are always super fun to rip around on compared to the 4 strokes. But both have their wins and losses compared to eachother.

I grew up on teh old four 4ts and love them. The cost of ownership coupled with the rapidly disappearing market for run of the mill 2ts I figured I would go that route. The thing is like a scalpel- it goes where you point it.

I had a good line on a 05 Husky TE510 which would have been great. Since most of my riding is right out my door/singletrack and possible motocross I went the small, light route over a heavy thumper.

If anyone is looking for a Husky te510 I can let you know here it prolly still is.

Tex, that is a sweet looking bike.
Unfortunately A) I am way too strapped for cash, and B) I'm 5'5" so I think it would be a little too tall for my comfort.

I was really digging husky bukes for a long time, mainly for a supermoto which would have made the ride to work super super fun but i proboly would have lost my license in a short period of time! haha

I just unloaded my Suzuki 400Sm. I did not ride it much cause I mostly rode my Triumph. The SM was a fun as a motorcycle should be. When it gets to the point of trying to back the thing in turning onto my street I figure it is too much fun.

I am suprised the streets aren't riddled with SMs they really are a great tool for getting around town...fast, nimble, cheap to operate etc. I do see more and more these days though.

I could get back into the SM thing if someone gave me a Ducati Hypermotard.

Hypermotards are a sickkkk bike but really are too heavy to be a competative motard bike. The bike is an amazing bike tho. Im a huge fan of the new ducati streetfighter, those are some sickkk bikes. A superbike with less weight!

fyi - Mrs. Tex could flat foot this bike with the stock shocks on (she's 5'5" as well)
if the other part of the equation works out I'll find you a pair of stock shocks and swap them back;)
