Dropping like a rock in MT, 4.19 three ish weeks ago, 3.44 currently.
Paid $2.49 today.
I don’t get it. If the suit will find against the oil companies, wouldn’t they be charging more per unit to cover the expenses of the suit? Or are they just trying to curry public favour and influence political wherewithal at the polls?
I just paid $2.48 in Athens GA today.

damn cheap af
training for Alpental in Georgia? bold move cotton.
I never even think about it, I did a hot shot to ft mac and the beaver guy paid me with a fuel card which pretty much lasted a year
It’s just a short term market move but started the exact day of the filing. Look at the chart. Crude was a few days behind gasoline. $XOM made a nominal new all time high before cratering which is typical of exhaustion rally.
“The all-time high Exxon stock closing price was 120.20 on September 27, 2023.”
Not three years ago crude oil price was less than $0. If it goes to $50 from here that’s nothing in the big picture.
I ate ribs last night at a place called “The Oink Joint”. The food down here is incredible.

$6.49 around here. Are we a town of greedy people or what? I got gas a hour away for $3.99. Seems like that gap is a little large.

Agreed. Why is CA not suing for market manipulation?
I drove from backwoods NV to backwoods CA last week. I know prices are always higher on 395 but I paid $4.20 in NV and it was up to $6.80 in CA. Lowest I saw was $5.50.
I paid $2.93 near Taos NM just a few days before.
The fuel charges in CA are criminal. They say "refinery issues", "environmental blend", and "taxes". Add in all that bs and it wouldn't even be $1.00 higher.
I always thought it was higher taxes that fucked us. Sub $3 gas is a dream. Especially as I use premium.
I blame DST
If I recall the amount of tax is listed on every gas pump and doesn't come close to bridging the gap we have to pay. Industry analysts always have some excuse why our prices are so high.
Of course when there is any event that drives up the price of oil the price of gas rises immediately. But when oil drops, it takes forever to gas prices to come back down.
Looks like 66 cents per gallon in Cali for regular and 93 cents for diesel. Ouch!
Crude down another 2.25%. Gasoline down .03c

what affects gas prices
Gasoline is now same price as 2007. Crude and gasoline look considerably lower on the chart.
Unless you're in Truckee CA!
$ 3.29 here and still going down.
Harry, pick up a Georgia peach while you are down south.
Under $3 at the cheapest stations here.
