The good, cost effective, bourbon hunt is never ending. This thread has actually been super helpful .... its probably also contributed to my alcoholism.
local availability of some of the recommendations has been my biggest hurdle.

I just received Russel's Reserve 10 yr Bourbon as a gift from a friend. I've enjoyed this bourbon for a while so it was a good gift. I'm more of a scotch guy, which is generally more expensive, so when I want a less expensive whisk(e)y I often will buy a bourbon over a scotch. I can get a decent bourbon like Eagle Rare for around $23 or Evan Williams 1783 for $19 where as a decent blended scotch like Monkey Shoulder is usually around $33.
I dont know where else to put this, but it needs to be shared.
"Honey badger dont give a fuck"
Equal parts Laphroaig 10 and Jim Beam Honey.
Dont think about it, dont judge, just do it.
You're not wrong, but:

I’m surprised they haven’t found a way to deep-fry it.
I’d just buy a bottle of Drambuie and not ruin my Laprhoig. Maybe they see a chance to increase sales of an admittedly polarizing whisky.
Went to a local place today, Black Draft Farm Distillery. Outstanding products.
Picked up a bottle of special reserve for myself and boss got 9 freshly emptied bourbon barrels to age beer in.

Anyone try 1792 Full Proof? Whiskey Bible gave it top marks this year. A buddy just gifted me a bottle for Christmas...trying to decide on how special of occasion I need to open it.
And in other news, we scored a bottle of HW Midwinter's Night Dram in the lottery.

I bought one. Had some last night. It's fat and viscous without getting oily. Tastes like relatively young material but obviously a good selection of barrels in the final blend. Great drinker. Best occasion to open it is a weeknight when you want a dram that's gonna give you a nice little slap on the ass.
I had about four fingers of McKenna SB tonight. I thought I’d finished the bottle off awhile ago but came across it in the garage- pleasant surprise. It still kills me that that stuff is allocated now. It seems like just yesterday I was telling people to buy it in place of the overpriced Sazerac brands.
$25 batch 62 bottle 7.
The other bottle was $50 port wine barrel finished and delicious.
601 gets cracked tonight.

Jefferson's Reserve--Twin Oak Custom Barrel. Gift from the office!@
The Angels Envy I posted a bit back is a nice smooth bourbon. I don't know how much the port wine barrel finish helps, but it sure is tasty.

Apologies for mentioning a Canadian blend, but was just gifted a bottle of Crown XR. As my table whiskey is ~$12, it's a bit intimidating looking at a single bottle that cost more than a case of McKenna. Anyone try it? Online reviews are....interesting.
Nothing super wild but enjoying the holiday in a free state. The EW was for my cream sauce to go with my venison tenderloin. Attachment 308105

You could just get a bottle of this, and not have to do any mixing.
