I'm impressed they didn't catch a plane back home. They looked well worn out from sleep deprivation and fatigue.
A bit disappointed in their choice in Bulgaria. For the kind of skiing these guys do, there are much better options. Well, at least I'm not worried that lukesnow will now follow them and blow up my home spots /laughing out loud emoji with tears/.
Looks like a decent top up coming tomorrow across CH

I'm not too worried about luke snow and the Alps either since last season he had and epic trip from lech to Stubai and skied all epic hidden gems like that ;)
And no I don't follow that clown either.
I will find out about the Valais wrods on the weekend with the family.
I've actually reinvented my self as a WROD skier. I specialise in it.

Kids are sick, Engelberg got 50+ and titlis was closed today. No Valais kids skiing tomorrow, but home pow pow for me. I can live with that I guess.
Good day to bunk school and go on a road trip!

Today was fun. Base is still kinda thin....galti the second time was bit adventurous down low at the exit traverse. All skis are rock skis.
First titlis tram was fun though. The roughly 2 minutes it lasted down to the flat ski out towards trübsee at least

Met my old buddy Who showed me around in Engelberg 20 years ago the first time I was there and we shared stories. I was like "ah...I kind of knew you'd be in the first tram too" . He's one of the local locals and knows basically everyone. Still skied with random kooks from a message board in 2005 and showed us around.
I bailed at 13:30 after the second galti run as everything was tracked when we went up after the first at 12.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...63aaa7cfb2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8e863fa115.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6672dd07d9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8f90a6b2e1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a982c10719.jpg

Good call. How many grams of rat poison per kilo of kid to induce just enough sickness to cancel a family trip and go hit the fiddy cm in Eberg?

That depends on tolerance and constitution. There is an online calculator at getakidsfreeday.org
I'll check it out. I've got a couple I'd like to sedate for a decade or so until I can find suitable husbands to take over.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Starting on the 25th .....
And it's not necessarily a train anymore.

Question for you all... Im headed to Silvretta Montafon and St Anton in a few weeks with some friends. Is it wise to bring skins and touring gear? Not planning any big tours but are we going to want it to get in/out of off piste routes? Had been eyeing the Madrisa tour from Gargellen but not sure its worth bringing the extra sets of skis and boots just for that.
i was in Montafon last year. Did not have skins. I would definitely bring them. I watched stuff get skied off the top of the T bar at Gaschurn. I think it is the Burg lift. Straight forward tour out the ridge good looking lines. Maybe you could boot it but skins would be better. I think it is Versettlaspitze or Madresella on the map. It was our first trip to Europe so everything was new. We thought the tunnel bus was probably the highlight. I would definitely take that ride and tour out there. I think it is called the Silvretta Bielerhohe. Skied Gargellen but was not awre of that tour.
If there’s fresh snow there’ll be plenty of lift served stuff to keep you busy but if it hasn’t snowed for a few days I’d want skins to access some freshies. We were in Montafon on Saturday (cool area!) and are in St Anton now and the lift/short hike served stuff is pretty tracked out 5 days after snow but there’s still some excellent touring accessible terrain available
the lift served in St Manton is tracked by 10am.

Hi Euromags, I'm headed to Nendaz with some friends the first week of March. Whats the best way to access the skiing in 4 Vall'ees? We are staying near the Tracouet tram, but we can also take the bus to Siviez. The place looks huge and we would like to get oriented and use our time wisely. Any how to recommendations including good places to eat would be appreciated.
@sillybunt2 not a euromag but since you got no replies yet i'll chime in. if your objective is to get up to mont fort early then take the bus to siviez then up the tortin - col de gentaines lifts would be fastest, might even beat the crowds starting in verbier up there. if your not in a hurry then skip the bus and go up tracouet, then go to plan du fou which has great terrain and good snow conditions off the backside towards siviez, especially if you want to walk a little bit further up from plan du fou. as for food its been 20 years since i've been there and i mostly ate at my hotel in verbier and stuffed my pockets with meats/cheeses from the breakfast buffet for quick snacks while skiing but i think you would be remiss not to stop at the cabane on mont fort for some fondue at least one sunny day.
Redemption for a month of ice. Feels good to be back on 3D snow.

Valluga is a 20 min bootpack and lots of space. We skied freshies in Hochkar yesterday. Skinned up but could’ve bootpacked. And today straight of Albona down to Langen Forest there was still space. Wasn’t as bad as I expected. Touring does open up some great options though
langen forest is great.

Looks like that pattern change do 2/5s of F-All.
pattern change schmattern change. There are some signals for the south. But the range ist still big. 10 to 200cm until next Tuesday. I wouldn't yet count on anything.
And who said anything of a pattern change except some social media charlatans anyway? ;)
