This happened to me last night on the first ride I had. However, was able to fix trailside because my multitool has a 8mm hex. Installation is actually quite easy IF you follow the instructions, and once its installed right, it works like a dream. You definitely have to make sure you torqued down the derailleur to prevent slipping.Quote:

Ya there’s a guy that rides Sawtooth pretty much year round and most of it is on his gravel bike. Def a nice tool too have in Truckee if only to put in some miles. Just buy the Revel, you can always get another bike w bag mounts when you need that ;)
Little demon in the back of my head finally got to me. Psst, what if a dropout comes unglued on your 25year old carbon frame? What if there is a small crack and you eat it goin 40mph down city creek?
I always was a fan of steel bikes, So went and checked this guy out and it fits, and it needs a little work, and i always need another project...

Trying out the Zeb vs a 38 today see how it goes. The bike is way faster than I am. Honestly sad for it and its life of mediocrity. XL X0 Transmission build is 35lbs without pedals. Not terrible honestly.

Shit is expensive yo! But the bike is all cleaned up and rtg. I even polished the frame and waxed it. I think I'll go ride it tomorrow.

What’s the fattest tire you can fit in that? 25? 28?
I put a Pirelli pero road 26 in there. Plenty of clearance front and rear. 28 would start to get tight.

seems neat. guess i'm behind the times with the "old" technology but no udh on this frame so can't do the new stuff anyway. Still even using a 10-50 cassette because they were on sale.
Anyone have some spare parts bin disc brakes? Hydro, large (20”) stromer ebike that needs new brakes, looking very cheap.

I knew the trance x OEM wheels were heavy, but didn't realize exactly how heavy until fairly recently. To be fair, there's also a DD Maxxis on the trance currently, EXO on the GG.

I’m on a 4 gnarvana and there is a lot of stack height so take that into account. I had 20mm of spacers under a 35mm rise rise bar on an xl sentinel and now have 5mm space under a 20mm rise bar. 6’3” for reference.

Guy I know picked up a Blur with the new transmission drive train. He said he hit his derailleur way more than normal. Got home and it measures 3/4" lower than his other bike...not sure which other bike because he has like twenty, but he's mostly an xc/road/gravel racer.
So I thought that was interesting since I cracked my Bronson frame right at the hanger point and never bent or broke a hanger or derailleur. Just many dings off the derailleur and the frame gave way.

Yeah, it is a nice saddle. $100 on ksl. looks brand new. Just rode an hour and a half with it, and it just disappeared underneath me. Looking forward to how it feels with a few more miles.

I rebuilt my Krampus with the Fox 34, Ibis wheels, and 12s XT that came on my Ripley. Then I put Codes (from Frorider) on it and have been having a lot of fun. Hardtails are just great for a lot of trails!
