Weak. Milwaukee is dead last and drawing 50% more.
Shits fans.

NYC has almost 8 million people. Baltimore has 560,000. Yankees outdraw them by 17,000 a game. That’s weak
17000 more in a city that has a lot going on besides rewatching the Wire is pretty good!
Weak. Yanks should get 50,000 a game by accident
Orioles drew 3.7M for an average of 45,816/game in 97. 23 this year. Maybe after the threepeat they became Yankee fans?
New park. Good team. Yanks averaged 32,000 in 97. Also weak
Acuna breaks into the 40/70 club. Its kind of exclusive. MVP!
Now the Braves just need 6 more HRs.
Classic. It would be hilarious if the Braves signed Harper someday.
Bump to add the video as I’m not sure how to embed twatter. The man was damned near born into the Tribe dugout.

Seems better behaved than most Philly fans
The croc probably wasn’t drunk enough yet
How much less is the population than when they drew 3.7M while winning less games in 1997?
Best fans:

STL
MILWAUKEE
KC
PITTSBURGH
CLEVELAND
....
TAMPA BAY
BALTIMORE

In other shitty news, here's Curt Schilling:

ETA more shit
Lowest winning pct of NYY vs AL east ever in recorded history. Great job Judge + scrubs.
Yankees best fans? Don’t think so. Maybe they are, they must be checking stats on their phones during the games.
Baltimore fans have a grudge against the owners, the Angelos. Guessing that might affect the attendance a bit.
How many fans did the O’s lose when the Nats came back?
Happy to report Guardos attendance was up 40% this year. Lots of things helped that. The ALDS run from last season, $49/mo standing room only (read: Corner Bar) tickets (which is an awesome idea) and a much, much younger fan base showing up. Happy for em.
I was in HS for the 455 straight sellouts at the Jake which sat about 43,000 then. It’s now about 30,000 and that’s just fine by me - I’ll take a mostly full intimate park over a half empty 50,000 stadium - Municipal Stadium being exhibit A for that one (70k though)
To me, there’s nothing better than taking the game in from the ballpark, but it’s really hard for a lot of people to do so in many mlb cities. Attendance is a hard metric to measure by anymore I think.
Why is it a bad metric? If you have an exciting team, wouldn't people want to go?
I guess we’ll see in the next few years. All the talking heads are saying the O’s will be good for years, but the AL east is tough, I’m sure the Yanks and Red Sox will reload, the Rays are always tough and the Jays should be good, although they’ve underperformed
