The CSD weird little L-shaped clips are awesome. I've got two pairs, and haven't had the tips fall off my Megawatts or my Jaks, even when I just flop the skin on and don't have any tension against it.

Yeah, I'm over in Middletown one night a week, so I may have to take a few laps at Pow Ridge to check it out. Wonder how it'll compare to the absolute gnar that is Mohawk. Incidentally, Mohawk, aside from being the highest skiable peak in CT:fm:, is also the birthplace of snowmaking, making it, perhaps, the most important ski area in the universe. Seriously though, I love the local bump hills, what they lack in "extreme" they more than make up for in soul.:yourock::yourock:
Re: skins; gearx has some good deals on blems and even those clipless ones that Rog prefers. I just got a pair of 110 width BD's for $104. Clipless were $94
Snow!
sleeper surf! the best kind, but not for those of us living 5h from the ocean.. the river has been kind and free of ice, though
storm skiing 5cm at bromont tomorrow... F YA !
If there's a weeknight January mini at Powder Ridge, I'm in. They used to do $20 twilight tickets.
22.6` with 7/16" snow overnight, not much wind yet. Just started snowing again though the wintry mix is back in the forcast.
He said NW CT not central.
I could see maybe a Tuesday night mini there just for grins, I also want to do a midweek night mini at Campgaw for the same reason. Both are "special" in their own way and have that local bump thing going that many of us seem to appreciate.
Any opinions on Pico? Is it worth it? Last weekend to use the early season 2-for-1's at Killington and I'll probably be up there, thinking about checking it out for a day, especially with their $25 tickets this weekend. Looks like the group will mostly be beginner/intermediate, but as it will be my first time to either place I wasn't sure if Pico might be a fun/less crowded/cheaper option for a less advanced type group.
how many folks on here talk about pico? not many. that means you should go as it is the anti shit show/crowded mountain. I've skied there a bunch and on a pow day there aren't many other mountains in the east that i'd rather spend the day at. 2000 vert, good fall line, and some fun terrain.
hope that helps:)

Bosquet has $10 night skiing tickets on Thursday nights. I was trying to put something together last year but it never materialized, we will have to get on it this year, it's a good time and a great little hill.
Also for anybody who didn't see it yet, Magic is doing $15 lift tickets on Thursdays- all day. No discount code, no download, no handshake. Just a $15 ticket on Thursdays- excluding pow days of course.
Snow just stopped BoM. Still 25 degrees and about 2 inches of natural fluff. Guns are running.
Despite the fact I have rog on my ignore list for the sanity of my email, I have to agree with him completely on Pico.
There's a lot more fun terrain than you would expect up top and off Little Pico triple. Often when they open Upper Pike, they'll forget to close off Giant Killer... I seem to forget about Outpost most of the time I'm there, which is stupid.
Since everything comes back together at the base groups can head different directions and still find each other without lift line potentially being on top of each other, and you can largely let kids run off for the day and not wonder if they will end up at a different base area. The 'race' lodge over by Little Pico is a great place to setup a family base camp and just be able to leave your stuff out.
Snow isn't really accumulating in Burlington, and it will probably turn to rain later, but damn it has got me in a good mood right now.
Going above and beyond to promote the product. Does this get me a free pair of Magics?!

Well that "Storm" didn't amount to more than a heavy dusting here in the middle of the NEK. :frown:

GP is the official rep for Pico. I did not ski there much when I had AllEast/K passes but as rog said "best place for a group".
1 1/4" total bob, positives are; wind not bad during the day, lower elevation snow is dense and skimmed with sleet and crusty on top, wind now out of west leaving [at least down low] to sit, possible base, easy to ignore and continue working.
This fatbike thing must be some sort of banana belt phenonemon.
One more fan of the Pico experience.
Tip - old T-bar, use intuition....remember to turn right.
