I don't know why anybody ever says anything about Jer. He is one of the funniest online persons I ever "met". I don't know why I put quotations around met. Virtually met.
But I am bumping this thread because I loves the metal. Heavy, crunchy, crushing, sludgy, down-tuned, towering waves of death.

I've resisted buying the new (post prison) Burzum albums (Fallen and Belus) for years but now that I've caved, they are actually pretty good.
Also been listening to Agalloch lately. Pale Folklore and The Mantle. I lost track of them years ago and haven't heard any of their newer stuff. I used to really hate John Haughm's vocals, but for some reason they don't sound too bad now.

I too could never get used to John Hauhgm's voice. Kris Rygge rocorded some of the most vicious vocals of all time on Natten's Madrigal, but I prefer his clean vocals. Both Bergtatt and Natten's Madrigal were great, but they are much better as an electronic outfit. Ulver is the only band I know of who so dramatically changed genres yet kept the same atmosphere to their music.
