That scene looks full of toxic chemicals and gasses. I'm glad to hear you survived the trip--hopefully there wasn't any subtle long term brain damage.

Sugarloaf, Maine - photo or Kinkade original?

Much like Kinkade's painting style, Hank's trolling was elegant and masterfully done. Dsm could learn a lot from him.
Saw the title of this thread and thought wha tha fa? Then read and quite enjoyed. This is what good trolling looks like.
But that view of the loaf is pretty cool.

A fellow Kinkade collector and colleague shared this article with me. Thought I would post to the forum as I recall there being some Kinkade fans.
Article discusses his upbringing in California. Many of you familiar with his art will find it hard to believe he didn’t grow up in the mountains, let alone a ski resort. It’s always been amazing to me that he wasn’t a skier himself - his best work truly captures the magic and essence of being in the mountains.

hank stamper + deepsouthmafia sitting in a tree...
It’s spelled Kinkade, not Kincaid (though that’s a common misspelling).

Has anyone seen this Kickstarter for the James Niehues ski resorts hardcover coffee table book?
This is the guy who draws all the major ski areas trail maps. Niehues is the Thomas Kinkade of trail maps - he masters ski mountains like Kinkade masters light.

Fuck off with comparing Kincade to Niehues. But nice troll.
Attachment 343300With the arrival of Fall and snow in the mountains, my family is embracing the glow of the hearth and making us yearn for a simpler, pre-Covid time as so elegantly reflected in Kincade’s work. Let it Snow!!
Fake scene; should be completely engulfed in flames, with the ground littered with charred corpses.
Happy New Year’s All!!!
Carrying on our family’s New Year’s Eve tradition with working on jigsaw puzzles. Incidentally, my 5 yr old daughter is enamored with Kinkade these days and adamant about starting in on this puzzle (albeit non-winter)
Just remembered this thread and thought id pass along some holiday cheer to all you Kinkade lovers.
Looking forward to some fresh tracks at Big Sky tomorrow. Happy New Years!
