Creeks have been beating me up the last few outings. Needed a day with no new bruises. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...caba478f3c.jpg

We got a shot of rain in the right place and local wave came in.
Awesome. I’m heading to the upper C for the weekend. I think pumphouse wave should be in.
Got a recommendation on lower leg protection? Shins are beat to shit.

I have some velcro mtn bike shin protectors. Forget which ones.
Gform pads ate nice but i find they slip around unless uncomfortably tight.
I use the Demon mtn bike elbow and knee pads.
Padz with a sleeve fit better than velcro and don't slip IME, just like the PROPER sizing of mtn biking padz you need to go to the wall of pads at your bike store and try them all on to find the pair that fits you the best,
and pay the man list no codes or discounts ... oh the humanity

Have at least 4 seasons on them plus used them for some mtn biking.

Fabulous weekend on the upper Colorado. At 900 cfs all the class 3’s are reallly 2’s. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f4b2a169eb.jpg
Pumphouse wave at 900. After a couple session I kinda sorta got the 5 second surf down.

300cfs on the south platte. Good level for figuring out the chutes. I’d like to do it now at about double that. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...21dcc58b03.jpg

Hopefully he does.
Sweet pics of the chutes!
We finally got some rain after months of none and 90 plus degree days.
Of course it was 9” in about 48 hrs so rivers are a tad high.
Plan to get out when things drop a bit.
Not to sound like a nanny here, but wear your damn life preservers and leashes out there people! Been a lot of drownings lately around here. People don't understand how easy it is to lose that board in a gust of wind and be stranded in the middle of a cold ass lake. That's all.
that pic is half a mile from the beach
400 yards to the nearest rocky cliff
Oregon coast
Pacific Ocean ....
.
Got out for an eleven mile cruise on post flood local river conditions. 10-9K cfs in about 2 hours on a hala radito.
Had river mostly to myself, one power boater. Nice sunny day, light occasional wind.
I found the new waist belt PDFs, are awesome for putting it on and leaving it on all day, same size as a small fanny pack and lightweight enough you forget about it, until needed.

we paddled a few miles on Lake Roosevelt this afternoon
sunny, warm and FAC
I accidentally dumped my card, so, no pix
the MAGA locals were all kinds of crazy,
'merica!

Nice, i love the waist pfds and use them all the time in summer and non whitewater stuff ie flatwater.
The waist belt PFDs are great, that's what I use too. Just make sure you wear it on the front like you are supposed to. I think you are supposed to test them periodically too. Some people strap them to their boards, which defeats the purpose entirely.
