^ Wolf Creek would be a nice add...
As I predicted above, Dartmouth and Whaleback become full partners. The east was more uninspiring than the west which got Big White, Montana Snowbowl, and if ya wanna ski with GaryFromTerrace, Shames.

Lookout, Mt Rose, Whitefish, Whitewater could have been nice (but at the same time it’s nice to know some do remain truly independent, even from an Indy pass)
Wolf Creek would be awesome. That would fill a gap on the cooper pass…

no crowds or liftlines, plenty of snow and excellent food… what more could you ask for?

yep.
I'm stoked Snow bowl is on. Was planning on paying for that this year. As a recurring Indy buyer I think I paid 240$ for mine.
Planning on catamount, b-east, bmom, saddleback, jay, suicide six, magic, Bolton, trapps, etc in the east.
And red lodge, lost trail, Snow bowl, terry peak, soldier, pomerelle, Beaver, blacktail, 49, mission. Blue wood, tamarack, brundage, etc in the west.
Not bad for 240$ ish.
I bought a Monarch pass the year covid happened and it had awesome reciprocals Bridger, Shweitzer, Nelson Whitewater, Sugar Bowl were used for free days. Sierra @ Tahoe they didn't abide by the terms and refused to give me the ticket and I was too poor to pay 1/2 price that day. Don't think any of those are on Indy. Most have fallen sadly.
And just when I had gotten out the torch and pitchfork, Indy steps up and supports Black Mtn ( NH) so they can open this year.

Big White is a 45min drive from an international airport in Kelowna, B.C., so there is a potential for an influx of Indy Pass holders. Shames, OTOH, is too distant and time consuming and too costly to get to to experience a big surge of Indy skiers. Day ticket: $85cad or $62usd is pretty cheap these days, so you are either going to Shames or you aren't and an Indy Pass is not a game changer incentive, imo.
The pass at least lets skiers know it’s there. Only diehard skiers know about it. Guessing a week trip to shames stacks up well to side country cat skiing
Most of the Indy tourists I’ve met are retired or semi-retired boomers that don’t want to deal with the crowds at Vail and Alterra destinations. These people have the time and money to make a trip to Shames, and now they know it exists. Thanks Indy!
Hey, what’s wrong with retired boomers? [emoji12]

Yeah cat. There are similarities. Differences are that you'd be well served with a touring gear set up. There's a ton of easy access shots off the hill. If it snows a ton while you're here you'd get heli ski quality at about a 15th of the price using the lifts. There's a ton of terrain getting opened up on the hill the last few years through the efforts of some dedicated locals with help from training wild fire crews.
Make no mistake (looking at you DanoT) we aren't catering to intermediate skiers who want groomers. We have that, but that's not who our target out of towner is. We would expect the hardcore skier who can ski off piste in most conditions. We are about powder and easily accessible touring.
Yep. And, further to DanoT's comment about a big surge of Indy skiers - yeah we get that there won't be one. We will not go from 10 minute lineups on a powder day to 40 minute line ups. We are not easy to get to, and once here you have no on hill accommodation (unless you bring a camper, and that is becoming very popular here BTW). It would not take a big surge in ticket sales to make a big difference to our bottom line. For instance 150 extra day tickets sold in a season (a distinct possibility with the indy pass connection) could mean an extra $10,000 to our bottom line in lift ticket sales alone. That could easily be the difference between a money making season and a money losing season to us.
Finally in response to DanoT's comments suggesting Kelowna is sooooo much easier to get to than Terrace. Well actually it's about the same. You are not generally flying direct to Kelowna from ANYWHERE really (exceptions being seattle, toronto, montreal). You are going through Vancouver (same as Terrace) or Calgary (which also has direct flights to Terrace). Once you get to Kelowna you are driving 45 minutes to the ski hill. Once you get to Terrace you're driving 30 minutes.
I know, right. :D
do you guys have any public transportation between downtown Terrace and the mountain?
hopefully with the schedule that would get you there before first chair?
Great question and unfortunately I believe the answer is no. The ski bus was a money losing proposition in the past so it was discontinued. I'm not sure of if is scheduled for this season or not. There was a social media based ride share used in the past that seemed to work. Rental car, truck or SUV may be the best option right now, and granted that is not a great option and may keep skiers away.
Given the Indy pass thing, getting the ski bus back running is certainly something the board of directors should be considering for out of town visitors (and certainly locals who don't have wheels). Thanks for the question!
Sounds tempting so I just checked the drive time from Helena to Shames. A mere 22 hours, are you kidding me? You guys are fucking lucky.
I am a super senior (age 75), so a Shames lift ticket for me is $4.76. If I do make it to Shames it really won't help the Shames bottom line very much. However, 2 long days of traveling from Sun Peaks to get there probably means it won't happen for me.
Yep. And you are not the market we're shooting for in joining the Indy pass.
Yeahman, yeah.
Crazy low elevation. Is rain a problem?
I love this and have Indy just because it works great with our little jr race circuit so I pay it off and can pick off some new ski areas along the way.
Eaglecrest to Shames is a cool 22 hour drive! Wish I was retired, it would be fun to pair those neighbors if you can call that a neighborhood? Do those ferries run in the winter for the southern loop? That looks pretty amazing on its own
My stepson skied Eaglecrest last winter for a comp. It was touch and go getting the airplane into Juneau with all the snow, but after a day or two delay, they made it. Had a blast. I didn't think he was going to get on the airplane home.

Ugly, here's what I got from the interwebs
Indy time bump. At pomerelle now. Absolutely whiteout nuking.
After the beaver party, commencing and Indy circuit. Storm days on tap for tbe next 4-7 days. Skiing bogus tomorrow, then up to McCall for a few days.
Get some.
What the hell ski pomerelle.
I got the Indy pass last season and skipped this season. Got a pre-sale email to get me back in the fold. $279 for the 2 day blacked out pass, $379 for the no blackout version.
Thinking of jumping back on this train byates style and roaming by van next year. Easy drives from Missoula for many of them.
^ yep. We are in what I call the cluster here. Can spend 3 weeks hitting MT UT WY ID.
Sitting in the lodge at pomerelle.now. cool ppl. Real. Gritty. Can't open lift wind. Sick flat AF pow on kid lift.
I just did a HooDoo-Mt Hood-White Pass loop. Planning a Washington-BC loop. April trip to Mission Ridge. Definitely renewing for next year.

caught first summit chair. 2 deep runs then extreme wind blizzard etc i was like wtf. decided to bail early. absolute whiteout insanity on the access rd, full on emergency situation. mtn closing ppl stranded in their cars etc. gnarly. was glad to get out barely.
No, made reservations in advance but last years RFI card was no good and had to buy a new one for $5. Second day with the new card and advance reservation went right to the lift. No stop at the ticket booth.

not on indy, but an indy. good day w my buddy and kids. soft. snowing
off to McCall. going to be tits. snowing everyday.
In tamarack lot, nuking. Will snow for 2-3 days. The next couple days here should be amazeballs.
I saw Powder Mountain confirmed that they will not be on the Indy pass next year. Anybody hear rumors of any others dropping off next season?
I'm EC / Mid-Atlantic based so those are the bulk of what we hit. The only ones dropping that may influence my decision to renew are the locals plus Jay/Bolton since we like to take a trip up north each season if we can.
Sounds like Indy is going to push to add a bunch. I just renewed. They guarantee that if they don't have 200 places by next year some kind of refund will be issued.
I'm saving my brundage days for Mon Tues, getting hit w 15 plus. Off to Blue Wood or snowbowl in the meantime
Literally just.hit my inbox
Update On Returning Resorts & New Additions
Good morning,
We have some news on returning and new resorts, but first, if you have renewed your pass, thank you for supporting an alternative skiing experience that remains humble, welcoming, and down to earth.
If you have not yet renewed, our no-bank, no-interest payment plan remains available and you have until this evening to renew at the lowest price. Tomorrow, all remaining inventory will go on sale to the public at our third-tier pricing (10 AM MST, March 8). We expect that inventory will sell out even faster than last year. If you need any help completing your purchase, email our Colorado based support team at info@indyskipass.com.
Last year, we renewed 104 out of 105 Alpine resorts, and by the time the season started, we were at a count of 185. This year, we are guaranteeing you at least 200 options on the pass, and here are some early details showing that we are well on our way:
A remarkable 97% of resorts have already been confirmed, and we are working through the remaining few. 100% of New England resorts are returning. Jay Peak, Waterville, Cannon, Pats Peak, Bolton Valley, Saddleback, Black Mountain, Catamount, Berkshire East, you name it. There are no big surprises at this point, and I think it was clear that Powder Mountain was going to move in another direction. We are still working with them on the final messaging and will backfill that area if needed.
Tomorrow, we will announce new alpine resorts in nearly every region alongside a brand new program that involves lots of powder with another form of uphill transportation...
We all have a role to play in keeping skiing independent, and we are grateful to have you by our side.
Curious who the western additions will be.
Find the Indy to be a great little pass, will renew
Renewed as well, hope to meet up with several of you next year.
i'm in the inland rockies cluster now. hollar if around bluewood, brundage, 49 etc.
I'm assuming Bear Valley gets added, as they're now owned by CMRC (and BVXC is already on the pass).
Curious to see if Sierra-at-Tahoe, Bogus, Timberline (all Powder Alliance) hills join. Seems like a lot of crossover between Indy and PA.
Also would love to see Mountain Capital Partners add their roster to Indy. Baldy as well.
