Whoo Hoo!!! I just bought my pass, Solisunday and Solimonday this season.
Solitude's pass system rocks the house, $368 to ski every Sunday and Monday of the season. Having kids and a wife I can't ski much more than 25-30 days a season, this pass system works perfectly for me. If anyone else is in the same situation take a look at it. www.skisolitude.com
(end Solitude advertisement)
The season isn't far off...

It's that time once again, so anyone in tomorrow?
I can arrange Spatula sessions if anyone wants to try them...
I'll be out in the morning - skiing off the summit lift. Same old outfit for me, sliver helmet, green jacket. How about it Bob?
I'll be out tomorrow morning, not sure how early. I'm supposed to meet Woodsy at Powderhorn at noon. If I get there earlier than that I'll head up to the summit and look for y'all.
I'll be wearing a tan and grey coat, black pants, and the same old hat. I've added a camera chest pack this year as well. Hopefully we can get some good pictures.
BobMc
Ahww shit
I'm scared for ya.... a "camera "chest pack"...

Kristen and I will look for you at noon at Powderhorn.
Who's in? I have to pick someone up at the airport at 11, I'll be at Solitude after dropping them off at Alta. Summit at noon?
BobMc
Looking forward to hitting solisunday with you guys in a month and a half...
Kristen and I will be up there, anyone in?
It's looking as though Solitude will be better than Snowbasin Sunday simply because of the elevation difference. I'll be there and asking for change on 12/12. Look for the kid on Spats with a black Giro Flint SC, both of which are plastered with PM stickers. Sessions khaki cargo pants, blue Fate jacket. My dad's rocking V-ex's (wizard graphics), red Fate jacket, black TNF bibs and a dark blue Leedom helmet. We're pretty hard to miss together. Hope to see some people out there.
Bump, am I gonna be forced to ski with just my dad Sunday? ;)
Settle down youngster, it's not even 8am out here on a Friday.
I'll miss this Sunday on account of the Gordy Camp, but I'd be happy to ski around with you and your Dad on Monday.
Hell, I'll even bust out my old Fate jacket and Spatulas and we all can match
Ditto.Quote:

Sounds good Woodsy. Shall we set a time and lift to try to meet at?
bump fo 2morrow,
still busy and I gotta watch the freakshow & the rest of the Vikes school the Eagles, but thre should be a crew.
Foggy and strand I saw this am and I saw release too, plus the regulars should be a good time.
I am gonna take Bob Mc out the summit gates into Wolverine I think :yourock:
Woodsy do you patrol a solitude? If so I found a cable at decapitating level in the woods. Think it's hunting camp leftovers. Anyway I only ski midweek so I can’t show patrol until Monday, did duck tape some evergreen to it though.
I'll be out. Conditions on Saturday were not great. But hey, any day on skis is better than.....
Bob and MacD, get a hold of us in the am, we will be there. Call us with a time and we wil get Woodsy out too.
Where was everyone? Inspector Gadget called in the morning, I made an appointment with him at 11. I got to Eagle a bit before 11 and waited about 10 minutes, nobody to be found.
So, I figured I'd for sure be able to find Tresckow and Kristen on the Summit lift. I waited at the top and bottom of the lift several times for extended periods of time. Oh well, I had a pretty darn good time skiing by myself.
I even managed to huck myself off a small cliff. I was standing above what I thought was a rollover, pointed it straight down over the "rollover." Suddenly I was in the air and catching about 10 feet of downward travel. I managed to stick the landing and when I looked back up noticed it was indeed a small cliff I had jumped off, whee.

Bob - Sorry we missed you.
MacDaddy and I made numerous laps on the Summit chair waiting for you and the others. Mac, Tresckow & Kristen, Woodsy and myself hooked up at the bottom around 11:15. After waiting for a while, and having some fun at your expense, the decision was made to saddle up.
We took the high traverse into Honeycomb. Tempted by the lure of the unskied, Woodsy and MacDaddy peeled off along the way. The rest of us continued over to the rope line, but somehow we lost Kristen at the top. Ned and I continued down and around to the Crystal (Meth?) area which was far and away the best run of my weekend. Thank you Ned.
Kristen - I'm sorry we lost you and I'm sure it wasn't a big deal, but I'm glad you're home safe. (Would you carry your radio now? Please.)
Sorry, Inspector
I understand if you will never ski with me again. Last time you had to wait around a bunch because my skis kept falling off. Later I discovered the fritschies had self-expanded by a few millimeters to cause my suffering that day.
Today however I did not suffer at all. After that super long trek I was sort of upset with Ned and definitely was not going to follow his line. You don't go that far for spatula tracked snow. I did not mean to lose you guys, but apparantly I followed some good snow too far off to the left. Wound up in the Days Fork drainage and eventually down to the quad. Tried to find people for another hour or so before going back and doing it again even better.
Sorry to make anyone worry and to hold up your day. There was nothing I could do. As for radios, someone I know got some for xmas. If he would've started using them we all could've had even more fun.
My buddy Doug and I went all the way down to Crystal Point last weekend, pretty freaking fun terrain. It is kind of a hoof to get out there.
Until there is new snow to outweigh the warmth of my bed I'll meet you guys at Summit at 1. (Being as how nobody wants to meet at Eagle ;))
BobMc
Maybe next week I'll make it out. Woodsy promised to get me drunk and hold me down while Tresckow lops my toe off with a pulaski if it's not better by friday.
What? I'd be happy to ski with you anytime.Quote:

ahem! let the record show that Re is a huge fan of BCC.
(just not a huge fan of spending $$ when she doesnt need to).
Tonight should push Solitude over 500 for the year. It's been raining off and on at my house in the valley, I'd imagine it's pounding pretty good up there.
I'm gonna try to get up early, possibly be at the summit by 10. If not, I'll be at the summit by noon at the least. I should be easy to spot, look for the new baby blue skis.
BobMc
It's actually not snowing much up here. Just kind of a light, frozen mist right now w/ no accumulation.
same this week as last....hoes.Quote:
