Photos are back...
I think we were each out $2700 from food/gas/plane/group gear costs, and that includes travel to and from AK.
I'm fully flattered and impressed by everyone's comments. I had no idea this many people visit TGR in the off-season.
-
if you build TR's like this, we will come
-
That was an amazing read... thanks!
-
-
sooo...what do you guys do for fun? very inspiring.
-
Very cool TR ... like others have said ... WOW!!
-
Dudes, well fucking done. Disco is the man.
-
that was awesome. congrats on a sweet adventure.
and thanks for sharing, it made my day.
-
words fail me. The scale of terrain beggars imagination
edit -saw the part where you tipped the hat to the Mundays. Phyllis and Don undoubtedly kicked ass also. Very classy of you to mention them but any explorer of the new gets props imo
-
completely stunning....for a while there I was out there too, immersed in it, you just took us all there
-
Badass! The vision, planning, and execution are without a doubt, first class. Anyone that has been on a long backcountry trip will admire the magnitude of this high accomplishment. Words have been typed and superlatives given. But words only illustrate what the makers of words have experienced. When explorers come along, we need new words for their experiences. The feeling within is possibly wordless, but it is. I believe you have inspired some thinking. Well done.

Stupendously cool, boys! Kudos for the quality of the photos.
-
Looks like an amazing adventure. It's also impressive and awesome that you and your friends could all make the time. A tip of the hat and I'm jealous of that.
-
Awesome !
Right now, I am so ashamed that I let vacation days go last year.
Between the US and Canada alone, if you cannot find somewhere spectacular to go with vacation days; you're wrong.
Do not spend them in a 10x10 cubicle.
-
Very cool, my brother and I both took nice rams out of that area this past august. It is truly an amazing area.
-
This is so ridiculously epic it's not even funny. You ought to put together a coffee table style photo book. I would buy a couple.
-
Another vote for the book, but I'd hope for a coffee book with plenty of narative to go with the photos. Super special trip, definitely the sort of thing that most of us will never be able to consider. I'd pay $75 for a well done book with big photos.
-
Stunning pics and a great story! Congrats. Hall of fame worthy.
-
One of the coolest things I have read. Epic adventure! Incredible pictures! Thank you for sharing.:)

Just seeing this for the first time.
Gentlemen, thank you. Very seriously, thank you.

I love it up there. I used to guide for St. Elias Alpine Guides outta McCarthy. It's been awhile since I've been back. You're pictures took me back without having to go.

Thanks, what an inspiring TR. You guys are hard men.

I think Trackhead stole my words: maybe one of the best things I have ever read on the interwebz. How the hell did I miss it the first time around...
