Hey barista, I am not tip toeing around the issue. Placed snap traps and they did not work. Switched to a glue trap and killed one fucking mouse.
Get over it and get back to making some hot, foamy soy milk

You made it suffer unnecessarily, by your own hand. You seem to think this is right? I'm not really talking about the actual killing here, moreso how you did it.
One wonders why you did that instead of just killing it. Maybe it's because you are a coward with little conscience?
jong comes out of lurking to join this forum just to post in this thread because he is butthurt over a mouse suffering
i see we're starting the new year off right
People can rationalise his action all they want, but it's still wrong for him to do that. And I hope he learns from it before karma bites him back on the arse.
To much of this going on this thread:

KILL THEM ALL. TAKE NO PRISONERS. The Geneva Convention did not apply to mice.
i bet gavin doesnt eat hot peppers because they suffer and are in distress more than the sweet peppers.
when was the last time you ate meat, chicken or eggs, jongavin?
did you make sure they were all freerange and given daily massages?
of course not
so stfu you hypocrite
Yes, I'm sure they stick cows and chickens in superglue and make them rip off their own skin and limbs before throwing them in the garbage bin, starving them to death.
In comparison, killing animals in the meat industry is humane. It's usually an instant death, so I have no issues there. In fact, that is why there are laws pertaining to their slaughter.
Killing animals in a humane manner for meat is one thing, intentionally letting them suffer on superglue for a loooong period of time without killing them is something else entirely. If you can't see the difference, then you are a moron.
this post shows your ignorance, jongavin
its not the manner in which they are slaughtered, but the manner in which they live.
whats worse, a few hours of suffering before death, or an entire life of suffering in a cage thats not even big enough to move around in?
Furthermore, one form of suffering is self-inflicted, the other is imposed upon them by us in a means to exploit them for our benefit.
Again, whats worse?
*i am not claiming i eat only free range hippy shit, nor do i think its really feasible for everyone to do so and raise animals like this, but i dont loose sleep over it like your emo butthurt self
Based on what information? Where? The US? The UK? Some countries have better standards of welfare than others.
I eat free ranged chickens, and get free ranged eggs so this doesn't really apply to me. But in a cage the chicken is not actually hurt, on a glue trap it gets mangled and very hurt.Quote:

Hey, who set out the damn glue trap in the first place? Who didn't kill the animal in time so that all didn't have to happen? Animals caught on glue traps will fight for their lives, understandably. Oh, you could just kill the animal swiftly - but leaving it on a glue trap to die like that is worse than cruel.Quote:

The glue trap because the animal will be in more pain and won't know what the fuck is going on. At least on a farm, the caged chicken is used to its daily routine. It has been there all its life, it doesn't know any better - so how can you say it has been suffering if it cannot compare anything to its situation? Being caged would be normal to it, it would be life... and it's not in any sort of pain either.Quote:

I don't agree with caged farming, but using a glue trap on a mouse and throwing it away alive is no worse than torturing it because you are intentionally making it suffer. Just because some countries have morally questionable farming practices does not make this any less valid.
I think you're just trying to justify starving a mouse to death on a glue trap by using other examples of perceived cruelty to animals. That there are other animals possibly being mistreated is irrelevant - it still doesn't make it right. Do you understand?Quote:

i understand you're an emo butthurt unicorn
BAWWW. Given up already? What's the matter, are my points too realistic for you? Makes me feel all warm inside when someone resorts to a pointless strawman, not even bothering to talk about what was said.
Yell out "hypocrite" and "ignorant", then get that shit thrown back at you. Try harder next time please, you suck.
whoa whoa whoa. i thought cows and chicken came from styrofoam and plastic wrap?
is the styrofoam and plastic wrap similar to sitting on your hand so it goes numb before you jerk off?
Hmm, yes, I'm sure you are.
Too bad the world doesn't revolve around you.Quote:
i think ive made my point by letting you blab
the casual observer i think would agree
Styrofoam and plastic wrap would be one step ahead of you at the very least. But keep trying, don't give up. Maybe one day you'll be lucky enough to nab someone with Down's syndrome, assuming they don't turn you down for the garden rake.Quote:

wonder why we don't hunt with FMJ ammo? Must be because we want the animals to suffer as we spend all night looking for their injured carcass, right?
I'd like an example of this
is it torture when my cat bats mice around for hours, slowly maiming them for its own amusement? Next time i'll tell him kitty instinct is wrong and immoral and that it deserves a quick death. I'm sure he'll listen intently.
Why not take a more creative route and go pick up a box of these guys?
