really who cares how you choose to slide down the mountain. i 3 pin a few days each year just to keep me on my toes - not pretty but it is a great tune up - and if i ever get on a groomed x-c course i rip on the hills!

I ski with a mixed group of rippers, gys and girls, tele, alpine and even an occasional boarder. I'm a tele skier now, but it don't matter to me, just as long as everyone can rip and have a great time with friends.

Getting back to the OP I tele and don't look down on anyone who gets out in the winter and plays outside. I use lifts, hike a little, XC ski, and Skijour. I love watching park riders and little kids out learning.
I'll wait for people who aren't as fast as me and have friends waiting for me at the bottom. It's just part of the fun.
