was this before the recall to have them sent back to whereever the are made and represses or after

How much can you really "repress" a ski? If I had an EHP 193, I'd be against repressing them.
Never buy a product on it's first year run. Never.
you mean like your brototypes? or your first gen sanouks? or the spats you used to have? or the first gen fritschi freerides you had?
like that?
I, for one, will be stoked to have this deal go through well for you, Z. I'd be pretty pissed if they sent you anything less than what you are expecting. Cheers to dialing shit down.
Production issues suck...
Edit: if you did repress the ski, wouldn't it yell refusingly, like "help, help, I'm being repressed!"?

;)
yeah marshal!! exactly. it's not like there are no companies near annd dear to our hears who have had trouble with products. the measure is how well the company listens to customers and takes care of them. problems always arise (even with volkl...but they're awesome w/ customer service.)
i'm sure all will be fine and Z will be posting (a) some good pics of the skis when they arrive at his door & (b) some photos ripping on 'em! i'll do the same. ;-)
azzure--when did yours arrive? i presume you've had them for a while, so they are among that first set that got out. i think that given that Z & i are still waiting, the problems are being fixed in the first pair to be sent to us.
time will tell.
I hate you.:D Yes, some of that gear you mentioned above has had their 1st gen issues.
--The first run of Naxos had major issues and I ended up taking a loss on them.
--The first run of Spats had delam problems. Dealt with that too.
-- The first run of Gotamas had issues with the sidewalls. Luckily I sold my pair before I mounted them.
-- First gen freerides had many issues, one of which was the insta-tele issue.
-- 1st gen BCA trackers had several minor issues with the harness and casing.
-- 1st gen bros had the whole topsheet and base issue thing going on.
I'm not saying that the EHPs are going to break easily, it's just that 1st runs on ski gear almost always has it's flaws.
:D totally. anyhow, it is MORE a measure of the company to see how they deal with the customer if there is 1st gen production problems. good companies will hook the customer up, and warranty the product quickly and efficiently.
anyhow, i think the EHP will be "punch you in the tit" sweet.
very much stoked to compare them to 120's.
Kinda like buying new gaming consoles on launch day, but that never seems to stop me :D
Just got back from the alpineshop, they can order me a pair for 595, then I can ship them to whoever wants them, but I don't want to buy them without someone commiting to buy them from me. Also, i need to PM jumper, but endorphins in a size 29.0 for $490......
Should be in our possession around Dec. 1 or before. Im starting to get impatient.
cool. that's not *that* far away...pretty much a week (wishful thinking).
so...anyone get the re-bent EPH yet?
de-bent?
OK
made straight?
flat?
camber less?
All I know is that I am starting to get impatient.
as of saturday, i was told they are enroute to their slc warehouse
z...not sure if you heard anything further but skis on my doorstep are imminent...
sooo... z....
its december 1st...
So. Right now they are sitting at the SLC airport waiting to get through customs. From there they should ship out monday. That's the first batch (hopefully I/we are in that). The second batch should be on the same schedule for the following week. I was told no matter what it should be within 2 weeks. No matter how impatient I get it's probably a good thing now that we are getting some coverage. Already have a ski casualty this year.
Psyyyyyched.
saw a pair in store here in innsbruck. they seemed to be flat with no (or very very little) rocker or camber whatsoever..
edit: and yeah they were 193s
