It was a donkey, damnit! The deluxe accomodations at the Hacienda more than made up for any bitterness.Quote:

With threads like this who needs reality TV. Makes me glad I don't have cable.
That is all, carry on!
Beating a dead horse here I know, but let me say this. Moment makes their own cores, own topsheets, everything. I guess the dispute between Slouch and Bro will be settled in court but that shit doesnt affect us. As per the comment, I just thought its funny how there are Bro advertising threads sometimes, dedicated, you know. But i guess it sells, just look at how many followers there are.
But I realize now there is only one solution: Chinese Downhill. Get your click together and get ready to rock!!!:yourock:
yes, eet is zee onlee vay. chineese downhill.
that'd be fun! 192 big boy bros vs commies!
seriously, how much we looking at for a pair?
and i agree concerning the chinese downhill, but with one rule, highest din setting allowed is 4
bump for the question posed above
Moment skis are currently in production with a few design details being worked out prior to their release. The line up will soon be available for viewing on our website momentskis.com. The page is under construction, but will be available to view shortly. As for sizes, The Reno is the park ski and is the narrowest with a waist around 90mm. The Tahoe is the all mountain ski with dimensions just wider than an Armada ARV, the Ruby is an all mountain/powder ski about the size of a Made'N and then we have the Commi which is huge! Moment will also be releasing the Fish-Stix, a ski with the "fish" shape for powder, the Threat for more traditional ski shape lovers and a complete women's line. Keep checking the website for updates as that is our link to the world.
So, I'm just sitting at work reading all about Slouch, PMGear and Moment skis and I am asking myself questions. Why does anyone care about a snowboard company that doesn't exist any more and two independent ski companies that seem to be making products for their skier friends and those with a similar affliction? Slouch and PMGear had a falling out, I was privy to both sides of this situation and have heard both stories. I have no idea whom to believe as they both expressly blame the other. Either way, that has no bearing on Moment and their production of skis. No design ideas were stolen from PMGear, unless making wood cores is under patent. My Moments are a very similar construction to my old Armada's and 4Frnts and every other wood core, vertical sidewall ski. As for the upcoming release of Moment skis, it is a learning process and not everyone has unlimited time in which to play with skis. Everyone at Moment has a "real" job and the skis are coming off the presses as quickly as we can afford. Same with the website, it's coming. The company is slated for a preliminary release mid-season 06/07 with a full release next season. This company was started as a way for friends to design and build skis for themselves and their friends. There isn't some far-off dream of making it big in the ski industry, just making quality products for people who use them. It's exciting for all of us involved and we were hoping that it would be exciting for those folks interested in buying into something a little different. We are not in the business to bad mouth others, this world is too small for that. So just sit back, relax and wait for it.
why is it that no one can say what they will cost -- is it that you don't know exact production costs just yet?

No, its because the prices will vary according to ski, Commi will be more than the Reno. I think the Reno will be $450 but don't quote me
But actually you have to buy the patented binding system that bumps the price to $1 million!!! per ski
hahaaQuote:

making affordable skis is a cool thing. props.
The prices for the skis is being finalized, but the range will be from about $450 for the Reno's up to about $600 for the Commi's. Once the website is available to the public it will have the updated graphics, skis sizes and shapes and prices. They're skis, most skis are between $400 and $1000. Expect the Moment's to come in somewhere in there.
but in the beginning of the thread you ask folks to reserve them and make buying decisions...so how can they do it w/o a price?Quote:
