If there were only a dozen places (if that) with soccer fields available at the beginning of the season, you'd have a lot of soccer players. Same deal with ski racing, particularly as the early part of the season has gotten tougher for finding snow in the past couple of decades (or maybe I'm just getting old and nostalgic). Yes, groups of teenagers can be annoying, but I don't think ski racers are any worse (or better) than most other categories of teenager.
And even if you have a lane rented, you're still using the open pistes for drills.
Finally, if you think American ski racers are bad, you should try dealing with the Italians.

This is still going?
Dang.
I always loved A-Basin. I never had a bad experience there and we always met really fun people to ski with and share stories, beers and brats in the parking lot at the end of the day.
Thank you.

WROD skier complaining about the WROD is just plain stoopid - news flash: you're part of the problem!
This pretty much sums it up:

P.S. Skiing the WROD at all is just plain stupid (IMHO/YMMV)!

Old Bay is rarely any good till March anyhow.
Don’t tell anyone, but there is actually one CO ski area that is like 90%+ open right now.
I bet Old Bay would be good on lutefisk
