Ok the US delegation and their ceremony outfits don’t look nearly as bad as was thought earlier. Sure it’s not my style but they can’t wear their Arctyrx and spandex for this part. The gloves are goofy. I’ll give you that though.

NBC sucks as well, their insistence of talking over the performances at the OC epitomizes how they ruin the Olympics every. Single. time
....And hey, how about televising, you know, some actual sports?

Oh yeah here we go: Biathalon! Skiing and Guns, two of the funnest things in the world. :)

I feel like I could improve this sport however. Downhill instead of XC? 3D shooting (while skiing perhaps?) instead of static? Or maybe the shooting part happens on the chairlift on the way up? Seems like a lot of room for improvement either way

I went to college 20 minutes away at St Bonaventure. Good timing too- '92-'96. If it snowed an inch it snowed 3 feet that year. Lake effect pattern came right over us for all 4 years of college. God's way of telling me it was ok that my folks wouldn't let me go any further west for college.

Funniest thing was, I skied at least 80 days every season. My buddies that went to school in Boulder didn't even come close to that.

E-ville was so easy to ski a ton of days. I shared an apartment across the road from the Depot with Ed Fred '91-92. 90 day season. And so fun to be able to walk to Holiday Valley where I taught, skied free and had a locker. And walk back from town after drinking cheap.

Lived on the other side of town before that but across from the The Depot was bad/awesome.

I like your thinking, but I imagine if you tried cranking on XC skis then shoot a target with max heart rate, you’d think it was interesting enough!

Weather issues- high winds forced the Downhill to be cancelled for today.

Anyone have their favorite TV schedule listing (US if it matters)? I've tried the www.nbcolympics.com and they listings are like alpine skiing, skating etc...- no discipline info or men's or women's. Be nice to know more than the generic ....
