I'd suggest installing the seat first and placing the rack as close to the front as you can without interfering too much with your feet. With two pairs of skis, a gas can or something in the rack and two people reducing the suspension travel a bent tunnel is a possibility with the rack right at the back if you end up on any whooped out access trails.
Here's the 1+1 seat.
I ordered the Backcountry Adventure Gear racks for each side.
It looks like there will plenty of room for 2 with skis! More pics to follow.

Here are the racks. The side with the skis on them are the Ski-Doo type rack while the empty side is the Universal type rack. Attachment 131600

Thinking about selling my 2005 M7 with 162 inch track. Engine is stock minus an aftermarket can. 27xx miles with a couple hundred miles on a fresh top end. Snow eliminator boards, bar risers, and vented sides. located in the Colorado Front Range. Thinking $3800 with the 2-place trailer. Fun machine but I have decided to be more mobile so I am lightening my load.

I am at wits end with my machine. It just won't run right. I need help. Its an 07 RMK 600, carbed.
It has, new top end, new clutch springs, new carb boots, new plugs, jetting is dialed, slp pipe and can, blah blah, it is perfect. Except:
I can run the machine up to about 7k rpm if I ease into the throttle, but any time Ilay into it (to the bar) the machine will just fall on its face and stumble at about 5500 rpm. It works great up to about 3/4 throttle, then nothing.
I've checked everything. I'm going to recheck power valves tonight, but those were fine. Plugs are cardboard brown, a bit rich at idle.
I'm at a total loss.
pano-dude, are you on snowandmud.com. I'm sure some one has been thru his prob before.
plugs are brown? sounds lean? is it jetted for high mtn riding or lower elevation? that tricks people.
check fuel lines and replace filter as I'm thinking its starving for fuel so becareful coz if its running lean your headed for a squeek.
butt wot wood eye no ...
A little stoke from the weekend before last...

Hopefully 6 grand in my pocket. ;)
Thinking about getting out of sledding. Just haven't been that into it lately. Although I did take it out yesterday and had a damn good time. I'm just not sure I can justify it for the handful of times I've been taking it out per season lately.
Well quit being a dwid and ride more. I need answers when I call you in the next few days and say "hey D, what's up! Tahoe sucks donkey right now so I'm coming your way for some BC skiing. Where we goin?"
See? You're going to need an answer. An answer that doesn't involve the 5 million person highway skintracks that utah calls "backcountry skiing".

So, Yakima is making Sledbeds now?
Rides13k pimped out, wrapped, mostly modded polaris pro on snow.
Drives 2k toyota tercel on pavement.
Radical.
Fuuuck, sled started acting crazy Monday, sputtering and misfiring. Took it in, 5 hrs later they tell me the ECU is fried. Charging me 75 bones an hr+ parts. Seems a bit steep... It's a 2008 M8, pretty bummed as Ive heard these things are bullet proof.
Are you sure its not a polaris? Never heard of a cat frying the ecu. Hope you get it going soon.
FYI my buddy just totaled his 2011 RMK assault. All frame and tunnel damage. The engine and 90% of everything else is mint. I think the insurance lets you buy it for cheap.
Let me know if you need anything or if you have a chassy for sale
skidoo charges $100 an hour here ...
but 5 hours to work that shit out ???
Canadian version of the subaru.

Picked up a basically new rmk dragon 700 and proceeded to burn up the clutch and a belt on the first ride up Taylors fork. Shit sat up there for a week but I got that mofo out and worked on (not a big deal, a primary clutch bushing). Ready to rip again.
If anyone in the Gallatin and surrounding area wants to sled or sled/ski, hit me up
