My parents are building a 4 run dog kennel based on my father's own design. The outside portion of the runs will also be covered by a roof for shade and to keep out the rain. I helped him with the roof trusses on Sunday and will be helping him this weekend. They decided to start breeding a litter or two of brittanies from their trial dogs. The first litter sold pretty quickly and they kept back two puppies to evaluate how successful the breeding was before making their next move.

I have been, done all those things. These days I have maybe two litters a year mostly because having puppies around makes me happy. I get calls from people who have bought labs from us in the past. Our kennel has been around since 1946. We've breed lots of FC/AFC and even NFC Massy Sassy Boots, the last Field Champion was F/C AFC Wild Bil Double or Nothin. Most of the dogs we sell now go to huntin homes and people who just want the best lab they can get. Its a pretty good life.

If they are building kennels, Mason fence has by far the best kennel panels, they are pretty spendy but nothing else even comes close to the quality and durability. Check them out. Good luck

We had some doggie stoke this past weekend. My 2 yo Irish Water Spaniel got her second Junior Hunter ribbon! Two down, two to go, and we can concentrate on senior-level training. Junior level hunt test work is not even in the same league as Bushman's FC/AFC labs, but she's good in the blind and we'll see how she does at the senior level.

Hunt tests are done with real birds. In fact, the woman whose raised the birds was at the test. She lives in north central Washington and helps feed her family by selling $10 ducks to hunt tests. After the test is over, the shot ducks are frozen and used for training.

Kick ass. I do field trials rather than hunt tests with my english setter, which is different, but still a great game to play with the dog.

Any doggie named after an Iron Maiden song is sure to be awesome! He's really cute too.

When my last dog was a pup I bought a bunch of chew toys for her. She used some up and never touched others so I threw them in a box. Found the toys today and this big bone was in there. We threw all the toys on the ground and Bridger was overwhelmed with happy dogness and wasn't sure where to start. Wish I had that picture.

Seven months now and 32 pounds, about 17.5 inches so he is a big mini Aussie.

My T2i with F4L is in the mail finally so someday soon I'll have some clear pictures but in the meantime here is Bridger with the big bone he finally settled on from the box.

Great looking pup UM. I'd say he is big... Otis's mother was a 35 lb Aussie and looked just like her. (His Dad was a 50 lb Standard Poodle).

Totally see the Aussie in that in the face and it does resemble Bridges! Aussie's are funny the way the can vary in size so much even inside a litter.

Bridger has hidden that bone in the basement somewhere that only he knows - saw him go down there with it and return a couple minutes later without it. He has bones and balls hidden all over the place - he seems to remember where they are and he gets them when he feels the time is right. We find them in shoes, bags, child seats, plants, tried to hide one on top of the cable box. Craziest dog I've ever owned.
