Looks like I get a free day tomorrow. All of my usual crew is out. Who needs/wants a partner for some touring action tomorrow?
That's good... I heard they lost the ability to cut the line, not after the people in line complained, but some uptight lift operator made a big deal about it.
I think it might have been someone further up the food chain that a Lift Op.
Funny thing is it was maybe 2 cuts, maybe 4/5 times a day when the patrol and snowsports are cutting like crazy.
Sounds like the plans for another lift up the south side are pretty serious and papers may get signed this winter/spring depending on how the "Merger" goes.

Lolo pass at the summit looking pretty good, this is from the highway. Three skiers/boarders were out while I was there for 30 mins or so.
I had access to a bulldozer so I might have pushed a few lines of snow to make the parking area a little nicer
Anyone up for some skiing tomorrow/this weekend?

see you hippies out there tomorrow. lets all be safe and have fun, ok?
Nate, Josh and I will be in town next week. Lets do beers on Thursday nite.
rode a chute on baldy yesterday. booted out through some old logging roads and farm pastures. sorry if i walked by your cows.. gonna name it trespass gully.
I hope one of you busters is up at Big Sky today. Should be full on storm skiing, but with a foot+ and wind loading, it should not suck.
In other news; stay safe if you're out in the BC. Sounds sketch-a-palooza. From the GNF Avalanche Center:

The snow is piling up out there! Over the past few days Cooke City has received nearly 3" of SWE (snow water equivalent) totaling more than two feet of snow. The Bridger Range has picked up 14" while the mountains around Big Sky and West Yellowstone have close to a foot. Winds have died down this morning, but they cranked yesterday and last night out of the WNW. Lots of new snow + strong winds = AVALANCHES. Today, conservative decision making is mandatory for safe backcountry riding.
Brutally cold at Big Sky today. The snow is so cold it is really grabby and the powder is stiff. But good fun anyway.
On Sunday my buddy and I had the triple and the bowl all to ourselves at -19F below.
Snow was like squeaky styrofoam.
